Advert settings
I've received my second message about having adverts disabled and don't know why. After the first one, I tried to figure out what it was I needed to enable and gave up and downloaded chrome. I didn't change one single setting and used it to play on gameknot. I only ever see an advert about gameknot mugs and things and one about some survey from burstnet that has about 50 pages and would take all week to fill in. Half the time I see no adverts at all. I have no anti-virus or anti-spyware software installed. What am I doing wrong?

Not much of an answer
Perhaps the security level is set to high?

Flash player
Many ads use Adobe flash these days... You may want to check if it is installed on your computer.

I think that was actually the issue. I didn't have flash installed. Might be nice if the site detected that and warned about it if it is actually necessary.

In a similar situation
I've just recieved a similar warning. I trust it is just a warning because it was not really clear. It did say "so unfortunately we are no longer able to provide you with a free membership." which sounds depressingly final. However, everything still seems to be working, and cutting me off without warning would seem inappropriate. Anyway, I figured "fair enough" and made an exception in my browser to allow ads on GameKnot. However, now that the exception is in place I still only see an ad where it says "▲ Advertisement." about half the time and even then it's for GameKnot merchandice or asking me to link GameKnot. I checked on IE and Chrome (normally I use FireFox) with the same result. Also, I have the latest version of Flash. I looked at the site source code, one ad source seems to be here: media.fastclick.net Loading that link a few times and I see it often gives code for an empty <div>. My question is, what do others see for ads? Is the ad space sometimes blank? Are there pop-up ads? Should I expect another warning? When? What more can/should I do? I hope nothing happens which sours my opinion of GameKnot, which so-far seems like a great site, congrats!

strange ...
I have the same problem with Firefox & Opera (latest versions). My security settings now allow websites to do nearly everything on my pc, but I still see no ads. But: Obviously the cookies of third party sites (burstnet, fastclick, etc) are stored on my computer, although the related ads are not displayed ... Any idea?
