Festivities!
I dunno if I'll be on here tomorrow, so an early Merry Christmas to everyone on Gameknot - and Gameknot itself, of course!

Happy holidays from my home deep within the mountains of NE Pa.!
Its snowing here, right now and a group of deer just crossed the perimeter
of my land.Didn't see Santa with them, however. He must have came last night!Wish you could see it!Looks like a perfect Christmas card outside.
Got to go,here comes the applewood triple smoked ham with a Coca-Cola glazed
finish and some cranberry wine!

Peace to all, especially with the rest of the world,
TA

Best wishes of the season...
... to everyone.

It is now 9:30 of a boxing day morning, the sun is shining through a thin haze of cloud, the temperature is a mild 22 degrees Celcius (about 72 degrees Fahrenheit).

After several weeks of quiet, was woken up just after 2.a.m. by a swarm of earthquakes (4 that we felt, over half an hour), not overlarge (high 3s and low 4s on the Richter scale) but dam' close to where we live. Gotta have a bit of excitement!

But when I consider what has happened in otherplaces that have experienced earthquakes just as severe - Haiti, Mexico, California, Japan, Iran, Indonesia... - I wonder at how very, very lucky we have been to have survived so well.

Cheers,
Ion

Tactical_abyss... that just sounds amazing!

It's a little ironic though that snow in December seemed to cause more trouble than cheer in Britain though, with blocked roads and Heathrow plane cancellations etc... but still, I freakin' love snow!

Cheers x-machine!
When your in the Mts you don't worry about how deep the snow piles up or how unpassable the roads are,as long as you have enough provisions, water and enough split logs to put on the fire!A few years ago the snow piled up to my roof eaves!I left the home about a week later after it began to melt away!I won't return back to work until after the New Year, this year,so if it gets 6 foot deep,i'll just yawn, have some more eggnog and go back to sleep!
I work in NYC but when i'm in the Mts,I could care less about what happens down the mountain in "civilization"!I'm even above the avalanche line,so no worry there either! An occassional bear scratches at my door, but its steel, not wood and my 10 gauge is by my bed, just in case he slams through the window somehow!
