IS this a Bug ? or a setting ? !
It is driving me crazy ... everytime I post in the forum and use the spell check; I get flipped clear to the BOTTOM of the page after each word correction is clicked~! I'm using IE9/64 now. I never used to have this trouble with the IE7 32 or 64. Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong? Or having this trouble too?

It also flips me to the TOP everytime I change something (like adding or deleting some text) and reclick PREVIEW.

I'll check to see whether mine does it too, but I normally use Firefox instead.

It could be lots of different things causing this...including something as simple as automatic updates of programs on your system in progress while browsing.

It could be malware. It could be a virus (unlikely unless other symptoms too). Yes, it could be a mouse or pointer device setting problem. It could be a bad registry key. It could be a program conflict somewhere on your system. Whenever I have such problems, I clean the system and isolate the possibilities. I eliminate them one by one.

I start with the things I might need to do regardless of the problem, such as simple maintenance of the system. Often people neglect to get rid of junk files and empty clogged buffers. This needs to be done regularly on a monthly basis as problems can creep up if you don't.

As Arnold once said, "I'll be back!"

OK...this is a test of the system using IE9 using 64 bits. I will deliberately missspell a word to see if I can reproduce Craig's problem.

Used spell check and even corrected a misspelled word...everything works fine for me. In other words, its not a problem directly related to IE9, but still could be a conflict with it on your system.

Try using a different browser. If the problem remains, it's not browser specific. Try getting rid of cookies temporarily and see if that solves the problem. Bad cookies have been known to cause many browsing problems.

Is your pc running windows 7 but running 9 as your browser? which was the message i received,an old service pack had never been installed probably, which caused me problems, i went back through my archive and re installing failures cleared the problem

This isn't exactly related to Barons problem, but I occassionally get strange things happening to me.Just this morning I could not get on GK or Chesscolony.I have GK set as my primary site that comes on immediately after I click on to IE.I'm using windows 7.Ran a diagnostic and it stated something about my firewall not letting GK through. My firewall?I have been getting on GK everyday 5 times a day for months and never had a problem.Since I will not fool around with custom settings(my nephew does that for me) I just shut down my computer.Came back an hour later and no problem! And without doing a thing! That is strange to me.So my computer intermittently decides to let GK through when it feels like it?Or maybe it wasen't a firewall problem!?I'm going to go back to postcard chess!
