Threefold Repetition
Omg how i hate this rule ! due to my own arrogance and very poor memory , as far as i'm concerned i've lost yet another game , However brilliant tactics by my opponent , by offering me the draw , i totally switched off thinking i had a move left ,by the time i'd remembered how i was supposed to win - to late ! I don't know how i missed it , my only defense can be i must of thought it was 3 moves each, but were that came from i do not no , When you come back to Chess after a veeery long time away allowances should be made ! ha ha surely , what is the point of setting someone up only to lose to a draw , Anyway i am impressed with the distraction he made

My Excuse
Normally my blunders are caused by beer. It's a simple excuse that fits any occasion.

From a Loosing Position
About a year ago, I played horrible in a team game and should have lost. In fact, I was thinking about resigning, but I remembered Jack Stockel's advice because he has said, "Don't give up right away", and, "Start thinking". Therefore, I was able to come up with a way to change a loss into a draw by repetition. In fact, this was one of my first annotations, and most remembered. Why? I have and do remember this for things outside of chess (college and my job). That annotation is shown below. gameknot.com
