I have Winning Chess Strategies by GM Yasser Seirawan with IM Jeremy Silman. He covers positional chess in the book. In the book he says the audience is for beginners to club/tournament players. I found it an easy read with what I've covered and it definitely helped me with planning. It's similar to what Jeremy Silman covers in his books How to Reassess Your Chess and The Amateur's Mind but way easier to understand (and not as long). Both of Jeremy Silman's books are an excellent read too, however, they are big and covers material not suited for beginners. You'll want to start with The Amateur's Mind before you read How to Reassess Your Chess. If you want a classic read My System by Aron Nimzowitsch. Although that book is very difficult to read. -Jeremy
