New endgame study book....www.amazon.com Or its available through the USCF online store,I checked. You do not have to be a member of the USCF to purchase books or anything else, but then alot of times you won't get members discounts if you are not a member. Many players have discussed the importance of endgame study, many times first, before studying openings and midgame approaches,so here is one good book.It probably is not a book for complete beginners, but nonetheless should be included in anyone's library who needs to increase their proficiency in the all important endgame.Again,I have not read the book, but a few of my IM friends tell me its a great book,so they have never steered me wrong yet. " two other endgame study books"www.amazon.com Naroditsky is interesting in part because he is only 17 and this is his second chess book. I checked his first book out of the library, and found it useful but difficult. "Mastering Positional Chess." www.amazon.com And thanks for the book suggestion TA. Did your friends indicate the level of player for whom they thought the book would be most beneficial? |
