Using the puzzle creator feature to improve my endgames?
I've been working on my king, knight, bishop vs king endgame and I've been trying to use the puzzle creator here to make sure I'm getting the job done efficiently. It seems like I get stuck in an hour of alternate possibilities every time... yet some of the possibilities seem exactly the same as something already done. Am I doing something wrong? Can any of the puzzle creating experts give me some tips on using the feature? Thanks

Not a feature...
I don't think the puzzle submission page was designed to be used an endgame training tool. That matting endgame is pretty elementary and can be found explained on various places on the internet. Here is a short version www.chesskit.com and a video version www.youtube.com Just remember a few key points: you have to mate in the corner of the Bishop's color, you have to use the Bishop to win a tempo and the best piece formation is to have the Knight and Bishop placed on the colored squares.

thanks
thanks for the tips nyctalop. I'm in the process of building a puzzle now based on the king, bishop, and knight vs king and I have to say it is kicking my ass but I'm learning. I'm about 4 days into it. I just posted another thread about how I wish there was a way to save incomplete puzzles so that I didn't have to leave my computer on for four days. I understand that could bog down a server or something but if every member was only allowed a few at a time or there was a time limit on the save if you didn't come back and work on it that might be cool.
