A sincere Question ...
with possibly subtle psychological & mathematical implications ... or maybe nothing at all. But forums are slow, and I Have been wondering. Situation: #1 Tourney is about to start. You will be playing 1/2 of board one and TD has selected you to call the coin toss for colors; Do you chose Heads or Tails? (Or you going to be really Hard Case and "defer" ?! Sure sign of an authority complex there I'll bet ) ...#2 Why ?

...
It's not a coin toss everywhere that is used to determine the colors on the board 1. In Finland, the Arbiter often picks up a white pawn in one hand, and a black pawn into another, and has the highest-ranked player to pick either the left hand or the right hand to determine on which color he shall play on the first round. OK ... does the question then become...
'Which hand do you choose. I think most right-handed people choose the TD's left hand - supposing the latter is standing more or less directly in front of him...

Yes indeed ...
I was wondering about the hand too. But that was going to be Part 2 of the Question. Definate strategy & implications There! (Which is why I prefer to Not have to use the hand method. Or will flip a coin to see what hand I choose
