... there were as many as 7 Correspondence Chess sites on the Internet. Why, if it's not a rude question, did you leave them?

On three sites I got bored waiting for my opponent's to move. On another site I had planned to leave after concluding a game. On two other sites I was not satisfied with their site performance and the lack of performance by their site God(s). On the final one I just didn't feel like going there anymore-which applies at least in part to all of them.

I am still on fifteen sites. There are several other sites I've left before. In total there are between 25 and 30 sites-possibly more.

happen to be any of these 3? I still play on 2 of these....redhotpawn doesn't deserve my attention anymore. GAMEKNOT REMAINS THE BEST BY FAR!

is my 2nd favorite site...gameknot is #1 in my book. (: i started team USA on chessmaniac so now i play team games mostly.

Don't leave Us @ GK, K/L . . .

that would be a bummer. We need you here ... and I should not tell you; but so far now you've got my Vote for the Stan_Vaughn_Award for massive Correspondence Chess volume.
( He was claiming over a 1000 of Postal Chess going at one time, back in the 80's ... then along came Internet Corr. Imagine the Postage ... Yet keeping himself some Master ratings.)
Are you here Stan, playing some GK now?! George_Fawbush was another one for massive game loads, & might be anyplace from 1800 to 2300 rated then.

It makes me wonder, if you really may have had the most corr Chess going at once? What do you think your peak game-load came up to, K/L ?

And most importantly; Heinz_or_Del_Monte ??!

SERIOUSLY, how many games do you guys think you've had going at your peak of play, on all the sites combined?
ketchuplover ? nathanman22 ? What about you tag1153 ? And cheeky_knight & blackbaron ? I've also heard it rumoured that even cyrano has played more games elsewhere as well. No idea at all as to how many.

[ It's impressive you guys can keep it up. I once tried 47 Postal, somewhat slower play, back during 8th USCCC in the 80's, with 18 or 21 games from it. My play suffered. Focusing on Master games made for some drubbings in Expert games. BUT the losses sure gave me lots of good stuff to turn around and use on others ]

On the good side, focusing on GK games now can't hurt in the rating dept., and might be interesting to enter some more Mini-Tournaments using that extra time ?! Any plans for all that free time?

My max

was somewhere around 400 at once on 4 sites...it was too much. Chess was no longer fun and I was rushing to make moves. I am currently happy with much less and I am playing better too!

I haven't counted but I'm definitely quantity over quality aka playing all my games in a day even though it's not required. Current ketchup is Walmart's Great Value ketchup. If I get Del Monte or Heinz I just go with the cheaper one.

I belong,or have belonged to just about every chess site on the web.You may not know me...my handle and even my country is not always listed as the USA.I have been at the top of many sites over the years,especially blitz.
But GK is still my favorite and always will be.I never suggest anyone leave here...unless your some kind of troublemaker!There are actually better blitz sites with more bells and whistles,but I still prefer GK blitz for its overall simplicity,better looking boards and more.

For example,I have belonged to Instantchess for years,and they have a ton more bells and whistles,its optionally rated and you can even watch other live games going on.But I still prefer GK!Seems like the Chess boards on Instantchess are very fatiguing and the pieces have no optional design change like GK's for better resolution to your eyes.Plus its expensive!
ICC as well...there are things that I simply do not like,regardless of some additional options.

Yes,I became a life member here for a reason!Take it from a senior master....I have tried the rest,now come back to the best....GK!
