ReadyMy advice is: As you know on ICCF, there will be plenty of time to analyse, so don't feel forced to move quickly, especial when you think you have the upperhand, go over the position again and again, in order to avoid a less attractive move and loose the momentum in the game. Slow and careful moving will also avoid, drifting in to passive and defensive positions, because you analyse on longer terms! AND NEVER BRING YOURSELF IN A POSITION; WERE YOU CAN LOOSE ON TIME!!!!!!!! Lets get ready to "crush some skulls" on the checked board! Best wishes with all your games friends! /Søren |

DifficultiesI've received an urgent mail of ICCF, that declares that Loren is not accepted to play in the tournament, because Japan isn't member of the "Direct Entry". I've sent this evening a mail to ICCF-GM Matthias Rüfenacht to confirm that Loren is to be set by the Swiss Federation of Correspondance Chess to enter in the tournament by Direct Entry. I hope this will be accepted. If not, we need a substitute for Loren. Sorry for these bad news. Chessfriendly Yours Daniel |

GM Matthias RüfenachtPlease Loren, your name sounds German. Are you of German nationality too? |

For more than 2 years I have been working to find a healthy line against 8.Qf3 / 9.h3 in the Najdorf and finally I think I found it. My valuation is, that it is crucial for black to play 8.... Nbd7 / 9.... Rc8!! Some of my most painful losses in the Najdorf, have been in this line and variation, (Carlos you know by heart, what I'm talking about) so I'm very satisfied with this result. ½ points with the black pieces, cannot be that bad either! Best wishes Søren |

I have tried to play a little different this time and have prepared some other openings against 1.e4, were I normally play the Najdorf defence. This time in a sharp Marshall attack, in the closed Roy Lopez and a ½ point! Best wishes Søren |

Identities. For example: GK ICCF/board link/url cairo Soren fmgaijin Loren I don't even really know who's on my team, who's who on GK and what board they're on. Nor do I know where to find standings of how our team is doing (wins/losses/draws) as well as how each team member is doing. Sorry if some of the answers are obvious but I'm new to ICCF and how everything works on it. GK seems much easier to understand and navigate. |

ICCFThe Captain of your team should be able to help answering your relevant questions. All identities of the players are known to him, when he register the team. Best wishes Søren |

Thanks anyway Soren. |

ICCF IIThe only other way, you will able to identify your team-mates at ICCF, is if you know there ID's or name, then you can look them up through: www.iccf-webchess.com were you can search for whomever you looking for on ICCF. Good luck! Best wishes Søren Ps! A bit weird your Captain not answering your mails...... |

Sad news.I guess, Daniel, there is no way for a substitution? Two seasons is enough to do the same. Hans should not start the next. Carlos |

That sucks...Who's hans? Harpov maybe? I still haven't heard from kumpan even though I've sent him numerous messages so I don't know what his problem is. Has he talked to any of you lately? He's playing his games on GK without timeouts so I must be on ignore for some reason, or no reason really. |

I doubt I can...So I still wouldn't mind being part of the 1st PTP team. I doubt I can be transferred over but perhaps I could be a part of both PTP teams this time and when both CL's are done I can just stick to the original PTP team (you guys). I think we'd have a VERY strong team with us four. Guys who take this seriously and offer no chance of timeouts! In my mind that's THE cardinal sin in chess! My record on GK proves it. Zero timeouts! Naturally, I also hope all is well with Hans health wise. If you hear from kumpan let me know. He seems dead to me. |

I shallThanks for your offer for playing for PTP "sweetm8" and perhaps it will be possible in the future, we will just wait and see what the outcome will be of this. /Søren |
