How are team matches scored?

I know that individual results in team matches change ratings, and move teams
up and down the team table and team ladder. But I can't find an answer to this
question: Is there any impact at all on winning or losing a team match in itself?
(I've checked the team rules, FAQs, etc. and can't find an answer to this.)
Can anyone help? Thanks.
