Gripe about Open Team Challenges
I have had about the last 7 Open Team Challenges accepted by opposing captains only to have them declined before I could agree to them as their players had become unavailable - I'm guessing because other challenges had been accepted before I could accept. this is frustrating - why accept another challenge when the same players have already been committed to a challenge. does 3 or 4 hours make that much difference in a challenge where moves are 5 days apart?

Different Way
What about when a Challenge is made; it locks the team players into that challenge, until it has either been accepted, or declined. Since a player has committed to the team already, it just means a few less games would be available to be made for a few hours.

exactly what I have been thinking - maybe a 24 hour lockout

current
have GAMEKNOT set up a cross-table of clubs and teams etc. this woud be where every one whom wants to play games would have to go in order to play and check off the team and/or club they want to challenge, that team or club would have to endorse it. when this is done it is a contract between the two. the system would send an email to each member for them to sign off if one or more members cannot or do not want to play then the system (gameknot) removes challege form table. or something close to this
