Additional info:
Mechanical engineer by training. I love to learn how to program well. Am currently learning Python (no, I am not learning about the snake, but of the programming language.) Am trying to learn how to create a simple chess game, and getting some advice from Trond. --------------------------------------------------
I love this site. My other half is also playing here (although not as often as he would like). And we belong to the most wonderful team in GK - the mighty Global Bounty Hunters, guided by the wonderful astinkyfart! Go GBH!!

My interest is very limited. Am very interested in space and what's out there. Magnus75 has been kind enough to share some with me. I love to read science fiction books, those by Michael Crichton delights me. And I love ice-cream

As for my game, I am learning. I dont resign until I can see that I am going to lose the game. So, if you do see that you're going to win, but I havent seen it yet, you can let me know but dont expect me to resign and please dont ask me to - that's rude.

Lastly, if you do visit Malaysia, send me a message if you need someone to show you around northern Malaysia, or if you're in the capital city, Kuala Lumpur, my other half can show you around.

My believe : How your life turns out to be depends on you act towards it, not react. Too often we react when things happen, instead of thinking calmly how to act. To react is to follow our animal instincts, to act is to follow our heavenly instincts.
To progress, THINK and then ACT. Thinking alone will never get you anywhere. Think and then take action. And you will be amazed at how far you will have gone in a year compared to 95% of the worlds population.

I've asked around for advise on how to improve my chess game and this is one of the best advise that I have gotten and its from grandphish (Global Bounty Hunters) : : Play a lot of games, remember your good moves, and never forget your mistakes. Review and alalyze your games, learn from your mistakes and don't make them a second time. Study opening theory, study tactics, study positional play, study endgame technique. Play - analyze - study. I have been playing for over 40 years, so I have seen a lot of chess, made a lot of mistakes and tried to learn from each one. I have spent more hours analyzing and studying than I can remember. I don't know if this method works for everyone, but it is the one I have used. It is hard work, but if you love the game and want to improve, it may help you. I hope it helps you to achieve your goals.
