Note: Previously prodigy511, but I made that name when I was 16, and I feel like it make me sound like a jerk.
I've been playing chess probably since I was about 9 or 10 years old, and have loved every minute of it. You're gonna be hard pressed to find a more perfect game out there in the world. The more I play, the more I learn, and while I'm certainly better than when I started, I'm still just an average player in a sea of some
really excellent ones, especially in the context of this site.
One day I hope to really focus on getting better, reading more, and gaining a keener understanding of the game. But for now I've got so much else going on that I
can only devote a limited amount of time to my chess
playing.
As for my life apart from chess, I'm currently a Senior
Math major/Economics-Computer Science double minor at
Skidmore College. Doesn't provide for a ton of fun or free time,
but hopefully it'll pay off. I consider myself a movie buff (big Hitchcock
fan, love the Coen Bros., also everything Christopher Nolan's
ever done), and have a great love for music and acting. I'm also a big sports fan.
Got a lot of family ties to Minnesota, so I've been a fan of the Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves
(in that order, it's kind of a depressing life) as long as I can recall. I'm always
game for chatting while I play if you're so inclined, so feel
free to start a conversation. However, when I get to
talking, sometimes I don't stop (as proven by the length of
this profile), so do so at your own risk.
Good luck in all your games and happy chess playing!
