We are back in Japan. I am stationed on the USS Curtis Wilbur out of Yokosuka. We loved Japan during our first tour and decided to return for another 3 years. We have been here for about 6 months. It is nice being back. My daughters, Dakota and Reagan, were both born here so it is home to them. Lane, my son, was born in Lake County Illinois while we were stationed in Great Lakes.
I have been playing chess for quite some time. I love Gameknot and I am happy to have somewhere to escape for a while. This has been a great hobby for the past several years, and while I sometimes get distracted, I always seem to find my way back. I love playing in tournaments, team games and league. I have been banished from the league because of my timeouts, but I will survive. It is my goal to get back into the league. Like I said, sometimes I get distracted and with those distractions come timeouts, HAHA.
I love playing, so if you need a game, challenge me. I usually have plenty of room for more games. I am trying to elevate my hideous rating and that is slow, but I think it should be somewhere around 1300. I guess we'll see how high it goes.
I would also like to see our team rise to the top 10 sometime this year. I think it can be done and we are recruiting for new players. If you are interested in joining a team or know someone that might be, please feel free to join. All players, no matter your ability, are welcome. I am very proud of the team members that we have here and I enjoy watching their games and learning from them. I think the team is my favorite part of Gameknot. I enjoy the competition and the ladder ranking of teams.
