Playing here just for fun. I play my serious chess for Didcot in the Oxford & District League, helping to ensure that we can turn out a full team each game. My record in recent years has not been too good but last year we we won Div 2 and are back in Div 1 My contribution was a mere 5/10 and my grade dropped again to 129 (equivalent to FIDE 1682 or National elo 1632, according to the ECF database) but it was great to be part of a winning team again. Now we're half way through the season and I've scraped a mere half point from 5 games. I haven't dared to check my latest grade but as I've been heavily outgraded in all my games except the last, I hope it hasn't suffered too badly.
I have 2 daughters, several grandchildren, a brother and sister and more cousins, nephews and nieces and their offspring than I care to consider ...
