Description:	Welcome to the Cynical Cynics! On July 31st 2008 we hit number 1 on the team ladder for the first time Congratulations Team!!!!!!! We are always looking for new players and challenges. New players, please have played a minimum of 50 games on Gameknot, before applying. We accept challenges within 50 points (unless the challenger's average rating is outside of this band). Opposing Captains, please match challenges fairly or they will be declined. We try to make sure team members have at least 6 team games at a time, if their personal options allow it. Please note though, that unfortunately we have to remove team members who have persistent time outs. This said we are accomodating in the event of this happening accidentally. We try and play regular team mini-tournaments. We also run an annual leaderboard team competition. Each month Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are granted to the players that gain the most positive score in terms of team games completed. The scoring works as follows: Win = +1 Loss = -1 Draw = 0 A Gold award will be worth 3 points, Silver 2 points and Bronze 1 point. To even the competition for players, who do not play as many consecutive games as others, special monthly merits are awarded to each player who scores a positive monthly score. Each merit will be worth 2 points. At the end of the year I will reward the team's top three monthly players in the following order: 1) A free annual platinum membership to Gameknot 2) A free annual gold membership to Gameknot 3) A free annual silver membership to Gameknot Good luck in all your games and do your best for your team!!! December Update on the team competition The December scores are in and I am pleased to announce the final winners of the year. In first place, with a mamouth score of +15 came lemon_twist. This was only your second month with the Cynics and is a fantastic score. The December Gold goes to you, well done!!! Taking silver was bplp with a great score of +11. In most other month's this would have won. Third place was occupied by dr_kang, with a score of +6. Bronze goes to you. There were two merits issued this month. The first goes to tojje, for the second month in a row, who beat subedi. Well done!
