WHAT'S NEW ON GAMEKNOT:
January 30, 2010: Mini-tournaments
In order to add more meaning to the mini-tournament points, and make the overall mini-tournament competition more exciting, there is now a point cost for joining and starting mini-tournaments. I.e. a number of points (based on the mini-tournament size) will be deducted from player's total when they join or start a new mini-tournament.

May 10, 2009: New chess boards

It is now also possible to import PGN notation into "Analyze the board" window (via "Setup board").
May 1, 2009: User name change
It is now possible to change your user name, via settings in the main menu on the left side of the page. Please note that this function is only available to premium membership subscribers, and that user names cannot be changed more than once a year. If a player changes their user name, the previous one will be shown on their stats/profile page to avoid any confusion.
April 28, 2009: Mini-tournaments
By popular demand, it is now possible to withdraw from mini-tournaments at any time. Please note however, that if you withdraw from a mini-tournament, you will still need to finish all games that have already been started for you (i.e. no active games will be cancelled). All remaining unstarted games will be recorded as lost in the mini-tournament table, but will not affect your rating and stats. Also, the mini-tournament will still be marked as active until you finish the remaining games in progress (if any), or for the next 30 days (whichever occurs last), during which time it will count against the number of mini-tournaments you can participate in at the same time according to your premium membership.
April 22, 2009: Player notes
By popular demand, you can now keep personal notes about other players (only viewable by you, of course). All options can be configured either via "Board settings" link located below the chess board on any of the game pages, or via "Settings" link in the main menu to the left.

"Past year" and "all games" stats do not include the first 20 rated games (i.e. the provisional rating period). Also, the up and down arrows denote whether the corresponding number is above or below the same stat in the next tab (i.e. "past 90 days" numbers relative to the "past year", and "past year" relative to "all games" tab).
