I don't care for the stone wall.. Nd5 is hard to dislodge and creates a lot of attacking options

Building the stone wall via an interesting move order @ Big red when building a stonewall (I don't but I face it a lot OTB against weaker players) i find it's harder to put that Knight in there after Nc6 and Be6 because it just results in exchanges. Play is a bit to slow and boring for me in the stonewall. Many players play things like the Stonewall to avoid theory and they can play it against nearly anything

if he wanted a stone wall g6 would have been the move. I agree with you that c5 would have been better

You can strangle him with your extra space after b4 and try and attack down the q-side files a,b and c

11... Qxd2+ is Black's only option - he is running out of squares for his queen. I don't think it is too bad for Black either. As thedessertfox has said, 12. Qxd2 Nxd2 13. Kxd2, leaves material even and black can move the rook to f6. Black can march his king-side pawns to attack the knight further. If white chooses 13. Nxf8 Nxf1 14. Ne6 Nxe3 15. fxe3 Nf6... white is left a knight, a bishop and a pawn down for a rook (technically, a loss) - he also has to move the knight on e6 because of the attack from the LSB. One final option is 13. Nxf8 Nxf1 14. Nxd7 Bxd7 15. Rxf1, but this clears the back rank for black to mobilise his rook... It is a very interesting position, to say the least. EDIT: I'm just interested to know what you think the best line for White is following 11... Qxd2+, if you don't mind?

However QxN+ QxQ NxQ. and now if KxN Rf6 gets the rook out for free so white should play NxR and rather than black play KxN which will lose to KxN he should play NxB where after KxN KxN he is the exchange down however white Has the good Ne6!! picking up a rook after the f1 N is captured because it has no escape squares. However so in the end QxN is bad because of to many tactics involved and would only be played in a quick blitz game probably. New part: Qxd2+ is probably the option in OTB because white has many paths to go astray but in correspondence white has enough time to find the correct path EDIT: I think the 15.Rxf1 line is the best for white but Black can avoid this with either Nxff8 or Bxf8 on the 14th move when white plays 14 Kxd2. I like the 15.Rxf1 line because. Black's DSB is useless with the giant pawn chain for the time being. His LSB is blocked by his own pawns (a problem with the stonewall). His main counterplay will be destroying the pawn chain via something like 15...Rc8 16. Ba5 Rb8 when white can repeat with Bc7 Rc8 or play a3 when after ...b6 cxb6 axb6 Bb4 c5 Bc3 preparing to advance the b-pawn with Rb1 followed by b4. Although the line I give I feel give black to much counterplay but It's the best I can see for now. Maybe rather than Ba5 Bg2 and if b6 then b4

Can't black do Qb2+, which can force a draw by repeating Qc3+ and Qb2+ or force blocking the check at Qb2+ with Qd2, which then turns the tides by allowing black to take the rook with Qa1?

If 15... Qb2+, and white wants to avoid draw, 16. Qd2, QxR, 17. NxN, BxN, white loses the a3 pawn, and yes, he has the better of it. Good point. Black was all but lost, here! You know, light games, light annotations
