Sometimes, behavior is a factor to be considered. Especially in amateur games. This is an illustrative example of such cases, where white's love for certain moves was his perdition.

Its good for knights to remember all those occasions where dating with queens turned an unhealthy business for the guys involved. Queens always get pardoned. Decapitation, emasculation, and other ations are only reserved for the knights. This one in particular choose wisely to bring a squire to his meetings. Just in case, you know, she gets hungry after sex..... The bitch.

That's just enough for the bishop. If the knight is going to do nothing, well, he will... at the price of his own life if necessary.

Now, you see, black queen means business. She's not out to flirt, but to attack white king's summer palace, which, by the way, can't be defended anymore by the white Lady, busy as she is, wandering all around the board.

Yes, adventuring has ended and she can't face the consequences of her rambling. Proving her selfishness once more, she goes for a bishop, leaving the king to his own.

A number of combinations derive from here... I wonder if there could have been a better way to mate. Lets say 18... Qf4? White could have parried that easily... Isn't it?
