The thing that surprises about this line is that the pawn on c6 adds no solidity to Black's game.

I wonder (maybe I'm just missing something thanks to my lack of experience), but why does the comp consider a score of +2,21 for black in the first Be6+, but then gives a score of -0,01 for black in the second check, even though it's the same situation.

comps are weird like that. It probably thinks its going to a perpetual already

well, yes, but Kb6 doesn't prevent another fork on c7 by the knight.

Qg6 should be considered by black, accepting the check.

Sometimes the attacking player runs into the problem of selecting, from a range of very alluring possibilities, the best way to continue. Not easy, especially when some attractive options prove a dead end. It is hard to see, though, that this check would not give White something good...

Desperation. White ought to be doing great, here: 18.Rb1+ has proved to be a fine continuation of White's attack. After this move, simply 21.Nxc2 exd3 22.Nb4+!? Ka5 23.Nxd3 (or Bxd3 might be even better) yioelds a big advantage. But even more overwhelming for White is to recapture at once on d3: 22.Bxd3+! (forking K and Q!) Qxd3 23.Nb4+ with a straightforward win. No wonder the engine prefers an alternative to 21...exd3.

See my previous comment. 21.Nxc2 exd3?? 22.Bxd3+! wins without trouble; 22.Nb4+ wins also, but it's not so effective.

Yeah complete laps in judgment which doesn't end here  . It's not like I don't see this now or even the next move. Thus, my struggle for higher rating is so hard. Think I played to much this day and was just taxed out.

The best try seems to be 24.Nb5, but Black has an astonishing move in response: 24...Ba3!! (24...Be7 is an OK alternative, but not as good as this). The idea is that if now 25.Nxa3 Rd8+ 26.Kc3 Qxe4, Black gets a tremendous attack with just his two remaining pieces: 27.Rbe1 (say) Rd3+ 28.Kb2 Qb4+ 29.Kc2 Rxa3 and with Q and 2P for R and B, and an unabated attack, Black has just about a 'gimme' win.

Black need not have defended a7, but the move was sensible enough, and keeps a winning advantage. Instead, 26...Rd8+ 27.Kc3 b4+ 28.Kb3 Qxe4 29.Rxa7+ Kb5 upon which Black threatens mate at b1, c4 and d3.
