Annotated chess game

The Reti system is usually the opening i use against players above 1900

d4 is my common move, but i decided to try something else  

reti vs dutch is not a common opening and it will get us out of database faster.

i should be some sort of stonewall specialist, but the downside of that is all the pawns on the board.

I don't really prefer a stonewall because of the weaknesses of the black squares. White can comfortably place a knight on e5, and Black cannot take back because of the holes on h6 and f6. c4 can be played sooner or later.

A ideal plan for White is to exploit Black's weakness on c5 and e5. So c4 is a good move, preparing to activate White's knight to c4 via e5. A potential Bf4 and Rc1 may follow, White has a quite easy game to play.

good idea , its very important to activate your pieces and take advantages of opponent weaknesses.

is it a weak square ? i find it not so weak as it apears to be.

i think better was 10.Ndf3 , continue to attack blacks weakness e5

unnecessary , better was 14.b3 with the idea of a4, its all sow give you an active game on the queen side .

@matsany: This move is required to activate the LSB (on f1).

not relay , because of your pawn structure , he got reed of his weak bishop while you lost your strong one . his DSB better than yours because of your pawns , which placed on the colors of your bishop , its make his position more comfy ., but not better .

yea i figured that already several moves back. I i am always ready to risk a piece to get out of a draw like position. and then fight my way back in a more open and sharp position. but i have to risk loads more then a piece to get out of it, and against a 1800+ opponent it is usually suicide to do so.

indeed , but unfortunately you don't have the right bishop to finish him off .

i liked the self trap move, it was in preparation of some risk moves on the king side of the board. but i needed some help from my opponent to get it working. which did not happen
