Hi everyone!
I have been trying to find a game to annotate which involved yours truly and a fellow Bigpeta Club member. I think it may be best to fish out one of my games with Coach Ion which I did not get round to annotate. Sadly it was not one of my best efforts against The Coach and indeed I was absolutely steamrollered! However, it does have some interest value because the guy who ran this mini-tournament was Freddy the Master Mater. Freddy just lurves to play unusual openings and this is one of his experiments. Anyhow, this is the Traxler (Wilkes-Barre Opening) arising out of the Two Knights Defense. |

11. d3 - this opens lines for Fou Leblanc to get out, but moresoever it creates a flight square for Glenda should Ion's lsb come to g4. |

17. .... Be2 - Ion does not take my rook. This is a really horrible move as not only does it threaten a royal fork on f3 but Old Matey is threatening to descend onto f1. |

24. ...... c4+!! - Here I resigned on the grounds of Unavoidable Mate. If PXP then Qe2 is mate. Ion's Wargaming Project has certainly stood him in excellent stead to steamroller "She Who Wants to be TheBlackQueen!" I hope you all have a good read. Bye for now - Joanne |
