Uh oh, white finally gave black a break. 37. c5? costs white at least one pawn, starting with 37. ... Be6 38. Ra1 Nb3 followed by 39. ... Rxa3. At that point the white pawn on b4 becomes backward and unsupported and a possible target. White suprised me by resigning here. Black is about to win a pawn, but that didn't seem to me to be entirely decisive yet while he still had his two passed pawns on the kingside to give him hope. |
