After 43... Qxh2 White is hardly going to play hxg3 -- the pawn is gone. White will play 44. Re8+ and Black's king comes under fire, similar to the line nosferatu just gave. For that reason, 43... Qh3+ was better as Black can now win with a series of checks: 44. Kf2 Qg2+ 45. Ke3 f2+ 46. Kd2 fxe1Q++ 47. Kxe1 Qf2+ 48. Kd1 Rg1#. But the best move was the faster (and flashier) 43... Rg1+ 44. Kxg1 Qxe1#.

Instead of 43...Qh3ch, Black had a quick forced mate in 43...Rg1ch 44.Kxg1 Qxe1#. (Oops - sorry
nuntar - I see you've already mentioned that). White's 42nd seems to have come out of the psychological pressure of an apparently powerful attack that induced a sense of desperation when White still had defensive resources. In my view, White deserves credit for the kind of defence he put up, staying in with a chance until that dreadful (shudder) 42nd move.

Sorry guys, but I forgot to tell you that was a team match. My team was white. White resigned at the end 0-1.
also, thanks for detecting the error. white still loses in 2 moves.
