There are several ways to avoid this, the simplest being 43.Qf4ch and mate in 3 more moves. +++++ Quite an exciting sort of game characterised by Black's losing the thread of the game in its middle stages to fritter away a huge advantage. Even then he might have won the game but for a terrible misjudgement that allowed white's desperate counterattack to achieve a complete turnaround.
