The 'club rules' are to play the thing out as far as possible, though I tend to interpret it as 'until there is no play left'. I could with a clear conscience have resigned after 67.Qh4, which I thought showed conclusively enough that White knew he was winning already and knew how to win. If now [a] 76...Bxa7 77.Qd8 Rc7 78.Qd2ch Kf5 79.Qd3ch Ke6 80.Qd6ch Kf5 81.e6! (on second thoughts, I ought to have played this line out...) or [b] 76...Rxa7 77.Qd8ch Kf5 78.Qd3ch Re4 79.Qf3ch and wins a rook. Well played,
bigpeta. A tough, evenish, sort of game in which the scales gradually tilted towards my opponent.
