Preferable was 21...Nxe4 with a winning game yet.

This is getting into 'King Midas in Reverse' country: everything she touches turns to ... well, not gold anyhow. That's what happens when a game goes all turnip shaped. Now Black could have won the exchange by 22...Nc2 23.Qc1 Nxa3 24.Qxa3 ... (and NOT 24.Qxc8?? Bxc8).

Blunder: Black can simply play ...Bxe6

OK, Black missed ...Bxe6, but why accept the draw even so? There were any number of safe King moves. Black had to be a little careful, as after 26.Ne6 ... (let's suppose the Knight is immune on that square) 26...KG8 27.Qd2 Nxe4 28.Qh6 Bf6 29.Qxg6ch Kh1 30.Qh6ch draws. But 26...Kg8 27.Qd2 Bf8 and White's counterattack stalls. Strange game.
