I don't think Black can keep the position closed indefinitely. But my caveat in respect of ...cxd4 still stands: White's central majority. In this position, I'm inclined to hold that in higher regard than the bishop pair, to be honest. Come to think of iit, though, the DSB established at a3 won't be so pleasant for Black.

All pretty standard by now. True is that white seems to have a very easy to play position, with a lot of space. Black has no chance to attack, but it is not easy to see a quick attack for white.

Thinking of forcing an exchange of rooks, maybe, possibly establishing White's undisputed control over it? That would be possible if Black were to allow BxN RxB; RxRch QxR; R-B1.

I think the black weak spot is e6, and white can play f4-f5. In that case, the lsb should remain on the a2-g8 diagonal. This also prevents any reaction from black (e.g. e5, now possible).

Defending by retreating... sometimes a very good strategy, but wow, white dominates the board!

Black has nothing with which to balance white's central hegemony (in my view this pawn advance goes towards a central bind as much as eyeing King side operations.
