11... Be7
I defend against it and prepare to castle.

12. b3
I'm assuming that my teamate is preparing to finachetto, although with my strong two pawns there, I don't think finachetto is going to help much. It will allow for queen side castle, but very little mobility for the black bishop. I still think he should castle and attack the king side. Or perhaps I would play d3, which allows for more mobility for the black bishop and he could still queen side castle if he wants.

12... Nxd5
Since I see him wanting to finachetto, I decide to interrupt his plans by attacking both the f4 pawn or b4 which threatens Nxc2 .

13. Rf1
I still think that casting is better here. Serves the same purpose by protecting the f4 pawn, and at the same time protects the king from the possible Nb4, Nc2 threat.

13... O-O
I decide to take my own advice and protect my king before I do anything dumb (which I've been know to do on many occasion!)

14. d3
Not much mobility for the bishop now, but I do agree that this is better than finachettoing.

14... Nc6
Time to get my other knight into play and make him make a decision.

15. g3
Looks like he's finally coming for a king-side attack...

15... Rfe8
I'm now looking at a revealed queen-pin-check myself...

16. Qh5
Here comes his queen for the king attack. I feel like I can defend though.

16... g6 17. Qh6 Bf8 18. Qg5 f6
Here I'm thinking I have him without any problem...

19. Qh4 fxe5 20. f5
this move worries me. I assumed that he would fxe5 and I would Rxe5 and have him on the run...

20... gxf5
I almost played N6-b4 to take the pressure off with the formentioned Nc2 possibility, but I realized that leaving him with a passed pawn queen rook bishop that he could bring into the fray would not be wise, so I decided to get rid of the pawn, which I think was the right decision...

21. Rxf5
I'm a little concerned about how exposed my king is...

21... Nde7
...but I think I can defend with this knight...

22. Rg5+ Ng6 23. Bd2
Again, I think if he had castled earlier, he would be able to activate the other rook sooner and really put me in a bind here...however, I see something...

23... Be7
...this tasty pin...

24. Rxg6+
at this point I think I just have too much material...

24... Qxg6 25. Qh3
Just a matter of time now I think...

25... Rad8 26. O-O-O
turn 26 far too late for castle, in my opinion. I would say that of all my teamate's mistakes, this hurt him the most...
