An Atheists view of immortality
The essence of life is the time between birth and death.
As I am not conscious of anything before I was born.
and will be conscious of nothing when I no longer exist,
my life is eternal. I know that I am going to die,and that
others will know that I am dead,but I will never know or
be conscious of death. My personal history began at birth
and will end at my death.All I will ever know is being;which
means that I am experiencing eternity now.I find this quite
comforting - the sorrows of life are for the living not for the dead

The Terror of nothing

Nobody likes nothing,and I certainly wish that it did not exist,
But wishing is not enough,We live in the real world where nothing does exist.
It could be said that thinking about nothing turns it into something-
But that is surely not possible

Our whole life is bound up with something,therefore nothing is not comprehensible;
Neither you or I have any hope of understanding
Just how and why it is so endlessly- nothing.
Always remembering that everything ends in--------
