What happens in space?
I have a question to Battlefleet and others who may know. A friend just asked me what happens to the bonemarrow of a person when in zero gravity for a long time. I don't know about that. I know that muscles atrophy, and bone density becomes less. I know that prolonged zero gravity is not good for your heart. Can anybody help me?

The one that did Space Oddity www.youtube.com Well when he got back to earth he had to be helped out as there was muscle wastage, I think if we were do travel long distances in space we would need of have a gravitation system to replicate conditions on earth otherwise the muscles and bones would waste.

You are 100% correct. The particular question is just about the bonemarrow. The ladyfriend is a widow, and her only daughter has bonemarrow cancer now. (She also has a boy). I suppose that is what prompted the question- the bonemarrow cancer.

There is some great people doing some great research when they come to me and ask if their models are applicable I say yes but why would you do something else, what you are doing is brilliant, please do not change

to explain this a bit further
As I run a business in financial markets called PhD I do attract very clever researchers that have very innovative views on the world, now while I could use their ideas in the commercial world, I say the reason you have studied this is to make a difference why would you throw all that away to look at a financial predictive model I try my best to discourage the best from finance and do something that will be productive for our future generations. Ok so I do not make money out of it but I feel happy for my good advice.
