So the US govt have money to do projects like this www.bbc.co.uk but not money to explore space, this is rather depressing news, I hope they take you back as a contractor on double money when they realise their mistake.

urgghh.
if it were the result of a Majority in Congress and the Senate then it would be bad enough, but to have this manufactured crises perpetrated by a small faction of one House of Congress is reckless beyond belief. I and many of my friends and Colleagues (A majority) have resigned from the Republican party. We will be Independents and Caucus with the Democrats from now on. We have had enough........What we are seeing is Extortion and Blackmail.

I've kept tabs on events
It very sad how this has come about seems more like a few people trying to make a name for themselves rather than anyone thinking about the good of the nation. My one point of note is there is not a liberal party in America, you are either a democrat or republican, what if you want a 3rd way. I am confused how a 3rd major political party has never emerged in America when almost all European countries have at least 3 major parties. My view is if you are not happy with one and the other seems like a square peg round hole, why not form a 3rd. Maybe not for you to do but is someone doing anything or are they just offshoots and think tanks?

she was right all along about these deranged, pseudo patriot, Confederate tea-party Zombies. The old Conservative party in America is dead now. How very sad. At worst a second American civil War is possible. At least, a vast depression extending around the World,as the American financial system collapses.

3rd political party
3rd parties will be constrained until ,if ever, we have serious campaign finance reform. The Dems and the Reps are in power and due of it's ability to enable new parties effective finance reform is among the last things ether of them is interested in. Bipartisanship will resound, perhaps behind doors, the next time congress is moved to invent ineffective reform legislation to placate the public. Question: 3 and more parties bring post national vote understandings between previously disagreeing parties or perhaps undisclosed pre-vote understandings. Is that in the best interest of the voting public who believe they are speaking at the poles?

its a shocking state of affairs
Everything I admired about America and I still love America is shake to its core for the bureaucracy and infighting. The multiple agencies goes against the core of the America I love. I am with Monty Brewster I vote none of the above.
