It's only a couple of bucks to create teams/clubs. It's easy enough to turn the day-to-day operations over to your First Officer. They pretty much do that job anyway. Simply step back and be a 'silent partner/sugar daddy' so to speak and take care of family. The world still turns and the grass will still be green when you return. JMO

@Bears1
Sorry to hear of your situation. Take care of your family and yourself.

@bears1:
I'm only too familiar with personal problems, as for instance, this recently happened to me. But, I know that you have what it takes to handle them. Remember: personal issues can be seen as obstacles, and knowing how to overcome those obstacles is key to success. My advice is to believe in yourself, for you will make it through this difficult time.

hey bears, we're here for you my friend!

What ever happened to Club Ancient Aliens....??? They had members...did outer space get them??
Fee is due in May and chrisforbes21 isn't going to renew.

Even better news is that another chess club is back, and I really like it. It's called, "The Deeper Chess Theory", and what's really good about it is that it's another club that's specifically about helping one to improve his or her games.

@King-nothing
I think that, probably, chrisforbes21 felt that his club didn't achieve since it didn't have what the club was looking for. I can relate to that because in my club, there was a time where I just didn't it would be successful, since, at the time, it didn't accomplish it's goals.

Question???
I wonder if i can pick your brains. I have not sent you a message on forums as i do not have a clue how they work. Every week or so I get locked out of gameknot for a few hours and then it starts working again, my friend who lives a couple of miles away can log on no problem so I know the site is not down, i wondered if you have heard of this before.
@Question
I experienced the same a couple of times. Couldn't log in for a few hours. Checked on the internet if the site was down. It appeared to be not. I don't know what the reason is.
In the past, the last time for me being several years, there was a problem with it, where everyone was having trouble logging on. What GK did was apologized and for anyone whose games were not postponed, GK gave them an extra 24 to make a move.
The NSA is downloading your hard drive so just wait until they're finished.
@thumper
Why are they doing that?

apparently they've discovered that some on here r actually sending top secret coded msgs by the order in which the moves r made .. I was surprised as hell to learn this!
I'm shocked to. It upsets that other people could violate GK Rules by doing that.
I keep wondering how come we are rejecting a certain member from joining the club? As long as we and they obey the Rules and Policies of G.K. i see no real reason for the decision. Forgive and forget is the policy that i would like to achieve...so please ..unless there is a real GREAT reason for it..let's get together and let them join. Thanx Fred

@bears1:
I'm glad you say that because this is also my belief. It came to the time, as noted earlier, when I held a grudge for a certain amount, and all because of that caused me to act out. But, the lesson forgive and forget, and it's another good way to manage anger. And, it's also good way for people to get along with one another.

i sincerely apologize to everyone
If I ever made you mad, I'm sorry. I'll try not to say anything stupid. I'm just glad to be back.
@pawntificator:
Just remember one rule, GK says that if you're on someone's ignore list, one can't try to get around it. But, aside from that, I'm glad you're back, as well.

i only did that once
And it was an accident. In any case, I won't talk to anyone who doesn't want to talk to me.
No that's ok. At least, I'm glad to be here. Some of the stuff I've seen outside of GK this past week, has been crazy. But, it's that time of year.
I have been asked to put some one on my ignore list...It ain't going to happen... Guys and Girls...Do not get me involved in personal arguments between yourselves.. I am not going to get into these things. I am sure the person will read this post...Please do not ask me to do so on behalf of the club.
I agree with you bears1. I've been in this situation where people argue, and sometimes they want me to get involved. Because I'm friends or, at the very least, not enemies with any of the two arguing, I say don't get me involved. I'm neutral because I've had to learn the hard way not to get involved with arguments.
Thanx for that..it is very difficult to remain neutral..the only ones that suffer the consequences is the team or in this case the club.
