The greatest Generation
I was thinking. If we were to go back in time, would the world rally against evil like it did against Hitler? What chance would ISIS have if the U.S. had the same outlook as it did then?

The biggest problem the world has today is that it is confused about what is good and what is evil. I am embarrassed that we as a country seem confused about what to do about many of these problems. Kids are being raped and beheaded in front of their parent while we play angry birds on our phones. Today is one of the worst generations of the modern age in my opinion.

I agree. This is the result of 60 years of progressive liberalism.

We have had 60 years of progressively more liberal views, growing government entitlements, larger and larger government, and less and less personal responsibilities.

We have seen the progressive decline of the Black family with fewer and fewer Black male role models participating in the development of their children with a corresponding reduction in Black wealth but increased crime and death rates.

We have seen the middle class losing wealth, losing earnings and pay rate, losing work hours. The largest non-participation by eligible workers in the work force has given rise to the largest number of people on food stamps, the largest number of people living below the poverty line, the longest time out of work averages, and the largest "misery index" since Jimmy Carter.

We have also accumulated the largest national debt in world history, mostly by this current administration.

People are shell shocked. They can't get a job, even if they wanted to. They aren't being trained for anything useful, but they feel good about themselves knowing that their plight is due to somebody else. It is somebody else's fault they are in such a bad shape... nothing they can do about it.

We have become a nation of children, easily entertained by television or the latest smart phone. We have no sense of responsibility or a work ethic and we know nothing of history, civics, mathematics, sciences or political science.

(of course my cynicism should not apply to ALL of our population. There are many young people who do work hard, are conscientious and are learning much. There simply aren't enough of them compared to the overwhelming number who remain intentionally ignorant)

The people that made that video are patting themselves on the back at how smart they think they are, I personally want to smack their sarcastic faces. Thats the whiniest group of people I have ever seen. They inadvertently prove what pieces of crap they are.

Now for my second point. When I say generation Im not talking about the millennials or the genxers, the 90's kids or even the 80's kids. I'm talking about all of them collectively having no moral ground. Also not in the same ball park as your video as I am talking about good and evil. IF those brats cant get a job its probably because they were sarcastic, entitled a**holes in their interview.

Im talking about a group of people that sees children as young as two years old being beheaded, girls as young as 7 being raped and they then go and join them for who knows what godforsaken reason.

We have the strongest military in the world. While these terrorist rape and kill we activate our military might to go fight a virus.

By the way pawn, did you post the video for entertainment or as an argument for these poor unfortunate souls?

It was just a mental association. Your post reminded me of a video I'd seen about a year ago and i found it.

That was a good video... touche. It is a sarcastic look at what it thinks I am talking about.

However, these young people (kids to me) are not what I am talking about. These kids can actually speak and hold an intelligent conversation. They obviously do have a work ethic, have learned something and will find a way to make a living while also contributing to this world.

What I am talking about are those who only know that the government will be taking care of them, they don't know or care about society (other than their immediate local friends), civics, history etc. etc.

Stinky is right in that these people do not know or understand right from wrong, good vs. evil. They listen to and learn only from sound bytes and one liners. The depth of their concerns are for what can benefit themselves in the short term.
