The Repus did what they promised to do: Stonewalled Obama!
They stonewalled our country in the process.

How low can the Republicans go to advance their political agendas?

You know Jan
Here is what Im hearing from you and everyone else like you--Ive said this before and I will say it again.

"Stonewalling" is just a negative term you use to advance your agenda. And thats fine.

But, disagreeing and the art of political persuasion is how this country works.

So, not everyone can stonewall, can they?

Can the Dems stonewall the next Congress? Can they?

Yes. And I suspect they will. They will use the Executive Branch to veto the work Congress does.

Harry has stonewalled the House Bills he has received as well as anyone I can recall.

Does he have that right? Yes.

Why? Because he got the votes required to do it. Good for him. But guess what?

It is wrong for the President to actively legislate. That is exactly what this is. If the Democrats stonewall the Republican agenda next year will you be upset that they tried to do that? No.

See, you only hate they idea of stonewalling when it works against you.

Obama will be doing it over the next two years and you won't say a thing. You won't complain about how Congress worked so hard and now the President is stonewalling the work of the people.

Hypocrisy is rampant.

You won't even address this point, I suppose because you can't. You know its the truth.

Its the new racism -- stonewalling. Guess what? Its a beautiful thing when someone gets stonewalled because it means the country isn't being run by a few dictators. We fought King George for the right to Stonewall. We have protected that right since day one...so unless you are an equal opportunity complainer about stonewalling, which you are not, then find a real issue to complain about.

In this case, the President is so far out of line that there are folks in his party that are struggling with this. If he cared so much about this issue he would have done something about it early on when he had both houses. He didn't.

He is creating a precedent that I hate: I don't want any President, Republican or Democrat running around with this much power. Maybe that doesn't bother you today because it isn't your problem today--but one day it will be your problem. The difference between us is that I can hate it even when my own party does it and you are just an opportunist...hypocrisy is a building block of liberal thinking.

He is only interested in creating a distraction and a fight on capitol hill...and he may well get one. If he does, thats how it works. If the shoe were on the other foot, you would be screaming about George Bush acting like King George.

Own it.

So
a group of elected officials act to stop the actions of one man? Is that a bad thing Jan? How low can they go? I actually think its pretty low for one man (right after midterm elections showed people disagree with him) tries to act on his own no matter what. You want to talk about an agenda? Get serious man. Lets have an honest discussion.
