We know that there is no publicly available information about what happened to the airplane. Somebody knows but is not telling. Boeing, Rolls Royce, England and America probably know exactly where the airplane is.

The Malaysian government is more happy with the current speculation because it will be cheaper for them with the current explanation than with a hijacking explanation. So, we'll get no more explanation from them.

Thomas G. McInerney (born March 15, 1937)[1] is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant General. He is a command pilot with more than 4,100 flying hours, including 407 combat missions (243 in O-1s as a forward air controller and 164 in F-4Cs, Ds and Es) during the Vietnam War. In addition to his Vietnam Service, McInerney served overseas in NATO; Pacific Air Forces and as commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska. Currently, he is a Fox News contributor, and is a member of the Iran Policy Committee.

I'm sure he keeps his contacts with military intelligence.

As far as the Conspiracy Theories are concerned, my favorite is that the whole idea was hatched by the U.S. and England in order to NOT allow several Malaysians and Americans to get to China where they were about to hand over some very secret plans for new weapons or commuications technologies or satellite destroying capability... oops... they may have been too late for that!

I forget the name of the Malaysian company they worked for... but, do you find it odd that we have heard almost nothing about the passengers? (at least I have not) Can you tell me who was on the plane and what companies they worked for?

You forgot to include ALIENS.

Your: <Can you tell me who was on the plane and what companies they worked for? >

Personally no, but I'll bet their much in the news friends and families could.

Heres a better question fellas.

What is it that makes you think that this isn't a very strong and valid theory?

I mean, he isn't some idiot saying it was a tele tubby takeover.

By the way---Im pretty sure that there are theories on gravity and every other thing, like the speed of light and other things we choose to deem as constant---which has me asking why do you want to assume that he is wrong? Is there something you know or some evidence you have that might link it to a simple accident?

Did you even listen to the guy?

Here is more: www.foxnews.com

I didn't read this yet, but thought it was à propos.

McInerney has presented a theory but moving to very strong and valid requires a significant stretch. He is enjoying the publicity and green backs that in these times accompany alternate and conspiracy theory's. Fox news and others have pockets full of dollars for anyone who has high credibility and is willing to step into that arena. Jon

Hang on...that, to me, sounds like the leap of faith you were just pointing your finger at...

You don't know how he is feeling or what he is getting for his reports, do you?

I mean, how does it benefit Fox News to report this? Other than it is a real issue...

I have told you, all news and reports aside, that my friend flies the same airliner and he thinks that what this guy is saying is the watered down version. He not only thinks it is possible, but probable. And he doesn't tell anyone that...or get paid for that idea. He just knows what the reality os for these planes in that part of the world and the very strong indications that things went very wrong, but in a very controlled way that day.

So... do you dismiss everything this way? Do you see everything with these kinds of blinders on in life?

Its interesting that people with nothing to gain hold the very same opinion...people that are expert in the field and details of this plane and its whereabouts.

Yet, it is garbage to you---like you are trying to defend someone. How does the veracity of this report change anything of anyone?

I do not dismiss them, (alternate theory's), but I do weigh the odds before placing my bet. Jon

So your bet is that it crashed.

Because that makes sense to you.

Here is the big miss: your bet means we don't prepare or have a plan in place if you lose the bet.

My bet assumes that it could hurt us; if Im wrong, no harm.

If you're wrong, what?

Ya---its a wisdom thing.

Don't bother: The US Navys annual not-found looses are likely two-or three planes per year and private planes are worse, but it's of limited news value.
Flight 370 had 287 souls aboard --- and Terrorism and excitement --- that ignited big news stories and kept some of us more glued to the networks sponsors or cause.

Clue from Germanwings airplane crash.
Investigations show that Lubitz, the co-pilot of the recently crashed Germanwings airplane locked the pilot out and dived down deliberately into the Alps in France. This is a kind of murder suicide similar to 9/11 attack except that it crashed into the mountain and spared the the lives of people on the ground. Hindsight showed that the pilot of the missing airliner MH 370 might do the same by diving the airplane into the Indian ocean. The problem is, no trace of this airplane wreckage was located for further investigation. This is my speculation.

That's terrifying. You have to be a real a**hole to do that.

Most speculation on flight MH370 is on "what" happened rather than why or how. Those of us who are inclined to go along with the majority of the experts who were on site and directly involved accept that it most likely crashed in the Indian Ocean east of Australia without much speculation on why or how, somewhere between Aliens and the east winds were blowing, including terrorist or pilot suicide. Those who follow the speculations that center on it's being grabbed by bad guys for future use as a bomb are stuck with terrorist as the how and why. It could be years if ever before anything other than speculation is available regarding MH370 and pilot suicide is no more or less a reasonable speculation than any of them and may get more attention with the emerging news on the most recent crash. We can count on the media getting back on MH370 when the dust settles on the Germanwings crash. Jon

I'm still baffled by how the US keeps selling advanced weaponry to other countries.
