My apologies
My deepest apologies for not being more active here.
My mother now has breast cancer again and my mind is elsewhere.

I strongly encourage all of us to have a mammogram, there has just been too many stories of breast cancer lately and I'm scheduling one for next month.

I hope all of your team games are going well!?

No apologies needed...
I've thought about your mom a lot lately Cat, and have been praying for her.

Yes, women aged 40 and older need to have annual mammograms. Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness month...the perfect time to go.

Thank you very much for your prayers Mistee.

We have a Breast Clinic here that really treats women very well, (right up until they smush you). lol They give out roses afterwards to help you forget the discomfort.

I just feel my games, my activity here, everything has been affected by this cloud hanging over my families head. Trying my best to go about like things dont bother me, be strong for my mother, etc... ...but I get weary at times.
thank you again Mistee

I'm so sorry to hear this, Cathy. Don't worry about this place, take care of what really matters.

So sorry
Cathy,

I understand about you loving and caring for my mom. I'm sure everyone on the group will understand your need to focus on this family situation. I will keep both of you in my prayers.

Thank you all for your understanding... it's very much appreciated and thank you for prayers.

I visit her often and will move in when she needs constant care, if I think that is the best thing. It is terminal since she is refusing treatment. At 72 she doesnt think she will make it through the treatments. so we just enjoy the time we have ... I think she is doing well though, it's just that Im having a very hard time dealing with it. And my mind and thoughts are on other things.

And the song "Im gonna love you through it" just came on... how ironic.

I have been neglecting my club forums, too. Everything really hectic here but should settle down soon. In October, I will be teaching five days a week for the first time in many years. There were five piano teachers in the small town where I drive to teach...I live on a farm. Now there are just two of us. My husband is often depressed as he is losing his sight. So I am having to do his usual tasks. I am so sorry about your mom! But 72 is too young to give up. A lady in our church is older than that, and came through the chemo with flying colors. Her white hair even grew back all curly! She is getting her first haircut this week, but I think she has enjoyed running her fingers through it. I will pray for your mom, perhaps she will consent to treatments. I am 81 years old, and had a brain tumor removed four years ago. God worked miracles for me. I think she should not give up.
