Hi everyone! Martin has kindly taken the trouble to comment on my loss against him. Any further feedback will be welcome.

For a first time in a long while, I just completed a WTW game against Jack Stockel. You will note that even though I posted in a similar thread that this walker doesn't sit, it did, due to unusual circumstances happened for a while, until I did receive a challenge. But, even if not, that would've changed today as I got a game against my OTB coach. Now, what's special about it is what Joann posted against Fred in my first loss against him. Well, as a prequel, the same could be said against Jack. I did so well and had achieved my highest rating, despite one loss due to blunder. But, for the first time since my last loss against dynamic_dv, I met my fate against Jack in only 20 moves. Once more time permits which I think will be earlier then I initially thought, it will be annotated as there was still a lot for me to learn. And, what it proves is that against any runner, one must really do his or her HW because missing something is a recipe for disaster as it was here.

I have completed another WTW game against easy19 Interesting thing is that I started it, today. And, in just an hour I managed to annotate everything, whereas, the shortest prior was nearly 2 hours. I wouldn't annotated it sooner, but it just wasn't practical due to my work schedule. The only issue is that it's not completed because I have to make it public. But, that will change tonight, when I come back from work. And, when that happens, I will post in the WTW Annotations thread.

While awaiting on any takers for a runner, I finished another training game. No, it was not a WTW game, but I was learning how to run, against. And, I followed the Supplemental Talking the Talk Rules, as I wound up getting mated. It happened with my Wizard Chess Program. But, my goal was lower then with Fred. That's because, in our game, easy19 said that the goal was to last 25 moves. Well, knowing how tough the computer is, at the most difficult level, my goals was 20. But, I'm book marking it, for real, since I lasted over 25 moves. In fact, it's the longest I lasted against black, at the toughest level. To be exact, the game lasted for 26 moves. If I'm forced to miss chess club Friday (which is likely), I will annotate that game, by the weekend and post it right in the WTW Annotations Thread.

Although I'm not annotating yet, I'll tell you what you'll be looking at, ahead of time, which is my first time doing it. That's because, I sort of, misread Dave's post for a link. Unfortunately, I don't have one, but I have an equivalent since I notated everything. This was the game, with me as black. 1.e4, c5 2.Nf3, d6 3.Bc4, e6 4.0-0, d5 5.exd5, exd5 6.Bb5+, Nd7 7.d4, Nf6 8.Bg5, Be7 9.Bxf6, Bxf6 10.Re1+, Be7 11.Qe2, Kf8 12.Ne3, cxd4 13.Nxd5, Nf6 14.Qxe7+, Qxe7 15.Rxe7, Bd7 16.Bxd7, Nxd7 17.Rxd7, Re8 18.Rxb7, Rd8 19.Rxa7, f5 20.Ng5, Re8 21.Rf7+, Kg8 22.Ne7+, Rxe7 23.Rxe7, Kf8 24.Rae1, g6 25.Rf7+, Kg8 26.Re8#

Two of the WTW games are completed. One will be annotated by Saturday to Saturday night. Sunday, at the extreme latest. The other will have to wait, about a week later, since I promised to annotate a game for another person.
With that being said, these are the two completed games. game game
Ok, things have changed. Since I can't make it to work today I'm planning to annotate one today and one tomorrow. That is, the WTW games. @knightrider62: I'd like to annotate yours sooner, but this storm created a mess. It's because I'll probably be working tomorrow, instead. So, there would be time to annotate one or two short games, which are WTW. But, there will not be time to do a long game. I will try for later in the week. When a significant snow storm occurs, everything changes.
I have completed another one. gameknot.com However, it will be, at least, a week and a half to two weeks before annotating this WTW game. With time limited (due to the Farewell Season of American Idol combined with packing for a vacation), there will be no time now. When I come back, however, I will find a day to do this. Now, it's worth noting that I'm proud of myself for my performance, as this is the second longest that I've lasted against a player of this strength. And, he's, believe it or not, even stronger then the master mater. In this game, I made it for 33 moves, with the longest time being 36 moves back in November of 2014. So, this shows how much progress I've made along with it.
I'm not as impressed with this preformance. Yet, I have another game that is completed. gameknot.com So, when I come back from vacation, it will either be the second loss against oddlord, or my first one against albertwall.
Not now, but on tomorrow, my intention is to annotate the shorter game. By Sunday, unless I can so sooner, my next plan will be the second WTW game. Times are crazy, but things will just start to settle down by tomorrow.
I'll show you another completed as I was planning to do the entire annotation tonight and have it finished by tomorrow. That won't happen because things have changed. But, now that the Farewell Season of American Idol is once, as opposed to, twice a week, in addition to things like chess HW etc going back to normal. I'll spend that day to work on the annotation. So, the annotation will be finished by Thursday. Unlike many people, I don't care if it winds up on the bottom of the list because I'll post in the WTW Annotation Thread, as well as, a thread where I can get comments from ION. Be it note that, even though, this is all one mentoring group. Times have changed, as now, it is, as though, I'm in archduke_piccolo's mentoring group on my own accords because I show him those annotated games. The idea being is that we have similar style of doing things. And, in addition to Jack Stockel, ION is another reason why, despite needing more experience, I started teaching chess before reaching a 1200 rating. And, I'll also show the annotation to someone who also has a similar style known as kenneth_fiore_3, who I recently friended. The reason we met each other was due to the way that I coached Marriann at the OTB chess club, and he offered to do a training session. The only reason it dosen't work out is because of his premium settings, being a free member. But, when Ken comments, especially, on my games against Jack, it's, as though, we're playing each other. Anyway, this was my most recent game against Jack on Friday, with me as white. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Nf6 4. O-O Be7 5. Nc3 d6 6. d4 Bd7 7. d5 Nb8 8. Bc4 a6 9. Bg5 b5 10. Bd3 Ra7 11. Be3 Rb7 12. BTW, I got more then done then accomplished. First, I was up about 1.5 hours earlier then expected. Second, due to working 6 days in a row, I decided not to go the gym in order to rest off after that combined with waking up 4 days early in a row, and vacation before. Resting up, I used that time to annotate and will make it public by tonight.
I've got another one, that by next week or the week after, (after the last episodes of American Idol) I will be annotating since this is next on my list of games to annotate. game
And, here is another game that I will, sooner or later, be annotating. game In fact, the next game that I plan to annotate is the one above. I had some hard choices between that or OTB games first, that weren't WTW. At first, I would've done the WTW but had just started the new club, in a different thread. So, to help others learn, I annotated those first. But, once these WTW games are annotated, it'll also be presented there.
Here's one that I completed yesterday. game And, this is the one that I will be, more then likely, annotating later today. It's even possible, though slight, that I'd be annotating the WTW game with elyhim. As noted, annotations are picking up now, and it's the cornerstone or start to me doing more chess HW, since time enables it.
I have another one completed. I was going to annotate it but ran out of time since I started off late, and then to make a long story short, I lost computer access for 10 or 15 minutes because different fuses had to be tested and one was for the computer. Therefore, there's no time to annotate it today because I'm gonna have to log off in less then 20 minutes. And, there won't be time to do it tomorrow because of Yoga followed by work. But, annotating this is almost at the very top of my priority for purposes of my club, anyway. So, I'm planning to annotate this game on Monday, when I'm off from work. It's also coincidental that I got to play Jack Stockel. With tourneys going on, playing other people, and not always following the WTW rules since he often has me resign when it's lost a position, it's pretty rare that games at the OTB club get posted in the club. But, because Jack Stockel mated me yesterday, it followed the WTW rules, and thus, will also be posted here once annotated, even if wasn't a deserved win or Jack didn't play his best. That's because he's still a very important runner by my books. So, this was my game against him, and I was black. 1.e4, c5 2.Nf3, d6 3.c3, Nf6 4.d3, Bg4 5.Be2, Nc6 6.Nbd2, g6 7.d4, cxd4 8.cxd4, Bg7 9.d5, Ne5 10.Nxe5, Bxe2 11.Qxe2, dxe5 12.Qb5+, Nd7 13.Qxb7, 0-0 14.0-0, Nc5 15.Qb5, Rc8 16.f3, a6 17.Qe2, Qb6 18.b3, Nxb3+ 19.Kh1, Nxa1 20.Ba3, Rc3 21.Bxe7, Re8 22.d6, Qc6 23.Rxa1, Rc8 24.h3, Rc2 25.Qd3, Bf8 26.d7, Rc1+ 27.Rxc1, Qxc1+ 28.Kh3, Bxe7 29.dxe8=Q+, Qxc8 30.Nc4, f5 31.Qd5+, Kf8 32.Nxe5, f4 33.Qf7# (1-0)

It is the first time in a while, that I got to notate a game. The reason being is that a tourney is still going on in Jack's club. But, what I learned is that a lot of times, with absolute time controls, there's still time left over. Yesterday was one of those times. So after finishing a game in the tourney, a different game. And, it's the first time that I've played Stanley. But, I've seen before in the club, and before that, Jack Stockel has annotated some of his wins. Now, unlike with Jack (due to that glaucoma), I believe that Stanley's true strength is what Jack said he thought the rating was. As I saw similarities in his play that I've seen with bhidragon. Therefore, I think that Stanley is an 1800, and I consider him a runner since he took some time, at one point, to coach Ted. Well, after this loss, which I thought would happen but was there to learn, he spent some time to coach me. Given that combined with the fact that I got mated qualifies this as an OTB WTW Coaching Game which will be annotated, at some point this week. Now, I was white, and he was black. The game went like: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Nd4 4.Nxd4 exd4 5.0-0 a6 6.Bc4 d6 7.d3 Nf6 8.Bg5 Be7 9.Nd2 Be6 10.Nf3 Bxc4 11.dxc4 c5 12.Qd3 h6 13.Bf4 0-0 14.Rad1 Ng4 15.g3 Bf6 16.Rfe1 Ne5 17.Nxe5 dxe5 18.Bd2 Qd7 19.Qa3 Be7 20.Ba5 f5 21.exf5 Qxf5 22.Rf1 Qxc2 23.b3 Rxf2 24.Rxf2 Qxd1+ 25.Kg2 e4 26.Rf4 e3 27.Re4 Qe2+ 28.Kh3 Rf8 29.g4 Qf3#

"Back with a Vengeance"
After defeating and mating him in the "It Can Be Done" Thread, Jack Stockel is back with a vengeance. And, after some mistakes, Jack had a mating net against me which he took advantage, especially after the final mistake. It get a little corrupted, like the other game. This time, I was black and he was white, so the game went like this: 1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bg5 g6 5. Bxf6 exf6 6. cxd5 cxd5 7. e3 Bb4 8. Qa4+ Nc6 9. Bb5 Bxc3+ 10. bxc3 Bd7 11. Ne2 O-O 12. Bxc6 Bxc6 13. Qc2 Bb5 14. h4 Bxe2 15. Kxe2 Qd7 16. Rag1 Qg4+ 17. f3 Qd7 18. h5 Rfe8 19. hxg6 fxg6 20. Rh3 Qe6 21. Qd3 Qb6 22. Rgh1 Qb2+ 23. Qd2 Qb5+ 24. Kf2 Re6 25. Rxh7 Rae8 26. Rh8+ Kg7 27. R1h7# It will be annotated in the near future as an OTB WTW Mentoring Game.

Not last Friday, but the Friday before which was May 19th was my first WTW game in a long while. It was, as usual, a coaching game with Jack Stockel. Ironically, I made mistakes long before that. But, what should've been the winning move was the losing blunder. This was my game against him. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Bc5 4. c3 a6 5. Bxc6 dxc6 6. d4 exd4 7. cxd4 Bb6 8. O-O Bg4 9. Nc3 Bxf3 10. Qxf3 Bxd4 11. Ne2 Bf6 12. Be3 Ne7 13. Rfd1 Qc8 14. Bc5 O-O 15. e5 Bg5 16. Qg3 Qf5 17. f4 Bxf4 18. Nxf4 Qxe5 19. Rd7?? Qxc5+ 20. Kh1 Ng6 21. Nd3 Qf5 22. Qxc7 Rab8 23. Re1 Rfc8 24. Qd6 Re8 25. g3 Rxe1+ I resigned as mate would be forced. But, had I played 19.Bd4! I would've won as Jack is forced to give up the Q to avoid mate. The moral is that when you see a good move, look for something better. That even includes that if you think you can win a piece but might be able to win, go for the win. This game will be annotated later today or tomorrow.
What's more is had I found that winning move, I would call it, "It can be Done" since it would be another example of defeating a legendary runner. But, because of the mistake and the mating sequence, this is a WTW as it blends right in with the Supplemental Talking the Talk rules which is outlined by the master mater.
This was my first WTW in a while. So, the week before, I was paired up against Master Nathan which was posted in the Intro thread. Well, I did very well against the 2300 rated player and only blundered two pawns which was enough to lose. But, after that, Jack paired me up against a Class A Player named Stanley since his rating is about 1800. I was white did not play so well, this time around. In the first game, I made a terrible blunder which resulted in mating net. And, I resigned with a mate in 1. The mate turned this into a WTW coaching session since Stanley mentioned where I went wrong. I plan to annotate by today and if I can't annotate it today then by Thursday, as I'll have more time. It went: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 d6 4.d4 exd4 5.Nxd4 Bd7 6.0-0 Nge7 7.Nb3 Ne5 8.Be2 N7g6 9.h3 Be7 10.Nc3 Qc8 11.Be3 Bxh3 12.gxh3?? Qxh3 13.Bh5 Nh4 14.Bxf7+ Kxf7 15.Qh5+ g6, I resigned here. As I thought that the only way to avoid to mate was to give up my Q for N. What I didn't realize until now is that it's still mate in 1, and can't be avoided. As after 16.Qxh4, Stanley wouldn't answer with 16...Qxh4, but rather 16...Nf3# at once. So, that mate turns it into a Walking the Walk game.
So, that was my game. But, here's another WTW game that was completed. gm=gameknot.com Do you remember when I annotated a game between jstevens1 and clashofpawns That wasn't a WTW game, but just something that Joann wanted analyzed. This, however, is a WTW game. This time, it was the same teacher against easy-win. It's significant because this game was between two members of this club. In fact, it was a runner against a walker. And, what makes it a WTW game is the Supplemental Talking the Talk rules which is how the Original WTW club was built. And, the reason for me bringing these kind of games into the picture is because even though the master mater isn't on because of the pacific trail; I'm quite certain that easy19 is reading these posts on google. How I know this is because Fred texted Joann the reason for not being on. So, if he read that, Fred's probably reading this as well. And, I want him to realize that the idea behind the Walking the Walk games are still working. As there are games there are games with runners that are ending in checkmate which are also being annotated. With that being said, this game will be annotated later this week. The way to think about it is that this is just like what happened when Fred showed his full power against me. Don't forget that when this club first started, so around the time that the original WTW club was formed, Fred was in a slump. It was my first game against him that ended in a draw by repetition due to a miscalculation that allowed me to repeat the position 3 times. Then came a game that he timed out on. But, then, he was and the game was called, "For Real this Time" where he checkmated me in 15 moves. Later on, Joann annotated it and called it, "Back with a Vengeance." The same idea could be said here. Except, that I'm annotating a WTW game between two players. Just like with my game, it's a WTW game between runner and walker. When this game is annotated, I'll leave the actual title of the game but put WTW right in front of it.
With that being said, as we see with Joann, I have requested and got post game analysis for the game above, between Julio and Sasha.
Well, I was finally able to notate a game with Nathan. As noted, he's about the same strength as the Master Mater. This started in exactly the same matter as any WTW game. That's where a walker asks for a challenge and gets it which is what happened here. As Tom Walsh, who I was supposed to play in a tournament, was playing a game. Carl and Jack were also playing. So, I was sitting there doing nothing, until Nathan came in. Just like with the thread, "are all the walkers sitting" in this club, I asked for a game with Nathan, as I wanted to make an annotation. And, that's especially with this being his first time in 3 weeks. So, I got it. And, it was a WTW game because I resigned since it was mate in 1. What's more is that it was how it should be where I gave the runner a run for his money. As mentioned a few weeks back, his rating is about easy19 or near clashofpawns, as it's about 2300. And, I was white. It went: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 g6 4.0-0 Bg7 5.d3 Nf6 6.Bg5 h6 7.Be3 Qb6 8.c4 a6 9.Bxc6 Qxc6 10.Nc3 d6 11.e5 Ng4 12.exd6 Nxe3 13.Qe1 (where I gave him a run for his money. As I'm not only threatening to win a piece but threatening mate if he takes.) 0-0 (as he could've defended with something else but wanted to try this.) 14.dxe7 Nxg2 15.exf8=Q+ Kxf8 16.Kxg2 Bh3+ 17.Kxh3?? Qxf3+ which is where I resigned as 18.Kh4 is forced, and then comes 18...g5# which is mate. I will annotate this game tomorrow or on Thursday, when more time allows.
I do stand corrected on one thing. I mentioned that although Stanley is only a Class A Player, he's still a runner. Well, that's because Coach Stockel told me that his rating is about 1800. However, I just learned that he's actually an expert which really qualifies as being a runner. That's because Jack asked Master Nathan, if he knew Stanley. Nathan said that he hadn't, but he heard of that player. And, he heard that Stanley is actually a 2000 rated player. I go by that based on how he plays.
It might be a while before this game is annotated because there's a lot going on. I think it'll be done by this week, but if not, the middle of next week. However, this was similar to very shortly after I reinstated into this club. As I did a lot of talking the talk. So, I know that from cyperspace, on the pacific trail, easy19 is going to be proud of this. And, I sense that there was a moment where he was hoping that I'd get another WTW game since I exploded into activity last month. That moment came against the runner, Stanley. It was also similar to what happens with the master mater. As Stanley challenged me to this game since there were other games ongoing, and I accepted his challenge right away. As noted, although I was originally told that he's a Class A Player, he's actually an expert, and therefore, is fully qualified. Also, similar to with Fred, the goal was to last at least 25 moves. It didn't happen with Stanley, although, I gave him a run for his money which was a plus. But, I surpassed 25 moves. It actually went on for 27 moves. And, with best play, I might have even gotten an expert victory. However, I made one mistake which forced me to resign, as he has a mate in 2. What's more is that he coached, so not just OTB WTW, but an OTB WTW Coaching Game. I was white, it went: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Nxe5 d6 4.Nc4 Nxe4 5.Bd3 Nf6 6.0-0 Be7 7.Re1 0-0 8.Nc3 Nc6 9.Be2 d5 10.Na3 d4 11.Ncb1 Bf5 12.d3 Re8 13.Bg5 Bd6 14.Nc4 Re6 15.Nbd2 Qe7 16.Bf3 Rxe1+ 17.Qxe1 Qxe1+ 18.Rxe1 Bb4 19.Bxf6 gxf6 20.Re2 Kf8 21.a3 Bxd2 22.Nxd2 Ne5 23.Bxb7 Rb8 24.Be4 Bxe4 25.Nxe4 Rxb2 26.f4 (giving my King room to avoid back rank mate) Nxd3 27.Nxf6?? (the losing blunder) Rb1+ At first, I thought that I'm fine after 28.Kf2, but it's illegal. This only leaves me one option, 28.Re1, but 28...Rxe1# is mate. I thought that the threat was gone since there was the window. I completely forgot that the Knight was a monster. We analyzed it, and best was 27.g3, and after 27...Kg7, it might even be a draw with best from white. Getting greedy and going after one of the doubled pawns is what costed me the game.
I won't be annotating the game since it was with R odds, and it's very hard to start an annotation without a R. But, the one thing that the Master Mater and I can agree on is that I really talked the talk, big time, over the past couple of months. I did have one or two OTB Coaching Games, but there weren't WTW, as most of the time, I resign after loss of material and don't wait for their to be a mating sequence. But, I walked the walk last Friday. This wasn't just a WTW game, but a coaching game, making this an OTB WTW Coaching Game with Master Nathan A Resika. I was way ahead but got greedy and took pawns which costed me the game. As it allowed Nathan to mate me in only 13 moves, which is just as quick as how fast the master mater mated me in my first loss against him. I'll post what happened later this week, when more time allows.
