Insightful analogy, Freddy...
The first answer is B. I'd go to a driving school first. And, I understand what you're saying. In terms of your second question it was B for a while. But, it has become both a and b. However, teaching all of my friends is only for novices and people with sub 1000 ratings, that I can help. With everything else, that's not option. So, yes I agree that a lot of experience is needed. In fact, my main goal has been getting more experience, and I have to admit, very regretfully, that I am a very slow learner, myself.
However, if we were to eliminate the both of the above, between teach my friends or gain more experience, it would be gaining more experience for myself.
Anyway, I have annotated, yet, another game by tactical-abyss. And, there is a lot to learn here since it was presented in, "The Deeper Chess Theory Club." gameknot.com
For the purpose of this club, after what Joann previously mentioned, I have decided to annotate her loss against redfoxrising, which I deemed to need serious analysis. gameknot.com
I have annotation to show everyone. While a lot don't see the point, I am in the minority, and study these kinds of games, as Homework. I am, especially, glad that I took the time to do this. It has to do with TA's Q sacs. Why it's important is not only have a learned a lot, but I've used some of his methods to teach my students. gameknot.com One of the important things is what you learn from the Supplemental Talking the Talk, which I mention in the end about not resigning. In remembering this lesson, my student wound up pulling two swindles, that I know of. The first one was a draw, as she managed to get a stalemate, in a lost position. The second one was a recent win. That's because after some terrible blunder, her opponent started blundering. And, in doing so, the student, was able to win, in what was, a lost game.
Remember the WTW discussion which I deleted since I agreed with Simon? The reason I posted, in part is that's what I was going to say for an annotation but was starting to forget that. So that I wouldn't have to go back and forth, I posted a comment that I felt, temporarly, belonged in the discussion. But, it wasn't going to stay there, permanently. Instead, once posted, I was going to copy and paste it for this annotation. So what was in that thread is part of the annotation which I've just finished. gameknot.com And, some of the title does come from my first loss against the Master Mater since he said, "For Real This Time". Well, the same applies for this student, despite the game timing out.
I've got two more annotations to show. Both are from tactical-abyss, btw. But, I didn't qualify as WTW since the opponent resigned before mate could be proven. Yet, there was a lot for me to learn. This is the first one. gameknot.com
And, this is the second one, which is also my most recent annotation, so far. gameknot.com
If this blitz game were played out until mate was forced, I'd post in the Runners/Mentors Annotation thread. Because resignation happened with the loss of material, I won't, but it goes in here. Don't be fooled, however, because this game was played by two runners. This time, however, I know both players very well and have learned from them. It was between kenneth_fiore_3, who I met due to the way I trained Marriann, and tactical-abyss (the founder of another club) who's game I heavely analyze, especially with unusual opening, and as noted in Russ's thread, the Blitz Queen Sacs. It's important to note that if Ken does have time to play me, unless he says otherwise, I'll follow the Supplemental Talking the Talk Rules, annotate, and post it in the WTW Annotations Thread. But, for now, I studied a different game between Joe and Ken. Since they're both helpful, annotating this game also went right on the top of my priority list. gameknot.com

I thought if i keep it simple people will understand.

Fair comment Freddy!

For the most part (99% of it), I concur. Interestingly enough, the only time I disagreed was when hitting that 1310 mark. However, I've learned, overtime, and now remember, that rating is, in some cases, just a number. Right after reaching that, I was training about 5 players, at one time. Then, I remembered something which changed my, overall, assessment. I had to make corrections in an annotation by someone who's rating is over 300 points of north of mine, believe it or not. This person was the annotator, btw. Now, he mentioned a move as being better but I forgot which one that was. However, that was worse because he overlooked a Knight fork that would've lost a Rook. I had to point that out. And, when you combine it with busy times, for a while, I'm certainly training less players. My rule of thumb, these days, is that I do it when someone asks me to. Part of this is the want for more experience, as easy19 points out. Or as he said, getting more practice in drivers school, as opposed to, showing everything I know. And, the other idea is taking things one step at a time and not jumping the guns, as the saying goes.
Come to think of It
That analogy is something that resulted in more of the Wizard Chess Games which I annotated. I realized that I had to work very hard at those, on the most difficult level and lost. When that happens, you know that you've made mistakes, so it becomes learning from those errors. But, what came to mind in the second to fourth annotated games with the computer was the analogy since it's about getting more experience.

Let's back track to Fred's analogy, shall we. I absolutely agree with him and after getting a little bit of common sense knocked into me, I agree there. Interestingly enough, for a short while it was teach friends everything I know to give optimisim. I told this to him, but we're dating back to history. Although I have moved on, it cannot be forgotten. And, now, I'm ready to talk in front of everyone, whereas, I was shy, before. So, back then, before even getting lessons with Jack Stockel, let alone, joining this website, there was someone who made fun of me because I didn't know how to play chess. In fact, he embarassed me, so much, that I gave up on the game, for three years. Then, I started getting my confidence, but ever since, I always wanted to give people optimisim. And, when one training session did not work, so the goal was to become good enough to teach chess. The idea was to give people optimisim and confidence, that I wish I once had. It started before reaching a 1200 rating. Recently, times changed, when finding that I'm not only the one who got mocked. It happened with this game, which enabled me to tell my story with how he handled the situation. gameknot.com

For a while, I went by Fred's logic. That was, about, 6-12 months. Although I stopped, I understand where Fred is coming from. His idea was for me to reach a higher rating. But, I don't go by what my GK rating tells me anymore. It comes, after reading a post from GM Susan Polgar. She mentioned that rating is only a number, and one should not go just by that. And, I have learned that in some cases, the GK rating is underrated. I look at myself more like a 1400 player then what the rating indicates based on the fact that I have given a couple of runners a run for their money, including Joann, who I've drawn with a couple of times and Nathan A Resika. And, I even defeated a runner Jack Stockel, not once but twice. In addition, I'm not playing more then 2 games here at once, and that's not about to change. In addition, I'm coming back to post annotations. But, it's not just any annotations or your regular OTB games. What I'm going to be posting here are the OTB tournaments which way value to this club. This is the first of it's kind that I have annotated. gameknot.com And, that's especially, if Master Nathan Resika is to join GK, which I'm hoping happens, at some point. There is a little bad news that goes along with it. Last week, Tom Walsh wasn't there. It could be some issues or a cold. But, if he's absent week after week and stops coming, at once, the tournaments might end, due to lack of participation. I'm assuming and hope that this doesn't happen. But, if he's not in this Friday, the tournament will continue and I'll play again against, Carl. Either way, as long as, the tournaments are continuing, I'll be annotating those games. And, I'll be posting them here. As a tournament is more formal then just a casual OTB games, and they're very beneficial to this club.
Tom Walsh came back last Friday. So, I'll be back in the tournament games, either against him or Carl, next Friday. And, for sure, I'll be annotating it, when it's said and done and bringing it here.
BTW, I played the second tournament game against him, last week, making this my 3rd tournament game, overall. gameknot.com But, this time, I had adjusted to taking notes during a tournament game even sooner then anticipated since I was, for the first time in a long while, able to time out my opponent. That's right, I won by default, and it was very close, timewise, since I was left with only 6 minutes, when it ended.
I found that it's not by default in a tournament since time control is vital there. But, I lost this game in the Semi Finals for the tournament. gameknot.com When the tournament begins again, I'll notate and annotate, starting with my very first game. And, I'll keep posting tournament games here because it's at this point, more important for my learning then the WTW games. Sure, I get mentoring from Jack, Nathan, and occasionally, Stanley. But, they generally don't follow WTW rules, that is the Supplemental Talking the Talk rules, as it usually ends with my resignation. It's only once in a while that it does when I overlook a mating sequence. A tournament game is regular. When they end, we usually play casual games for a week or two, but then, we start a tournament again which is between the students to prepare one for the real world of tourneys.
In fact, this was the first game for this new tournament that started last Friday. gameknot.com
The second tournament game, which I was in, was just last Friday. gameknot.com
The first game that I won for this tournament. gameknot.com
This is the second tournament game that I won. gameknot.com So, to make a long story short, I've made into the finale for this tournament which will be played when I come back from vacation. It'll be between me and Carl, and whoever wins the next game will be considered the champion for this tournament.

gameknot.com I hope this annotation is better. I'm getting better at explaining things I think. I find it hard to describe what I am thinking from time to time. If I am not clear at any point feel free to ask!

I'll post more because I also realize that Fred and Dave were correct. It wasn't the main reason why I almost completely stopped teaching chess, just like that, though. It was another reason added to it, but the main reason was because time prevented me from doing so. I just didn't want to be up too late at night with the blue ray lights because of problems with sleeping on the job. That almost got me in trouble and put me at risk of being pink slipped. So, the only coaching then became with Erika in her annotations. However, I have accomplished, my overall goal of teaching chess to many people since it's also posted on chess.com. I was inspired to teach by GM Susan Polgar. It didn't have to be basic rules or professional stuff, like how I made it sound earlier in this thread. I was hoping that this wouldn't happen, but it boiled down to a situation that I thought would happen in chess where I couldn't be coached. But, that would also affect my work performance. Well, the complete opposite occurred because it was something that I did at work that put me at risk of losing my job. And, at the same time, it was the main that negatively affected my chess. So, even though this wasn't a game I annotated my story at work. But, I also have some chess games with it since the issue was sleep deprivation. And, that was also the main thing that hindered my progress as the Master Mater put it earlier. Having said that, this is the annotation of my story since I'm a story teller. gameknot.com

I'll add a little more here. What you saw with 2 examples, was the PGN notations. But, here are the 2 annotations to that PGN. This is the first where I talked about this in the intro. gameknot.com
This is the other PGN that was in that game, where I made that terrible blunder on move 13, from the same thing. gameknot.com
