Remember when I told you earlier about the first time giving up my Q against Jack to deliver. Well, as it turns out, I missed an immediate mate in one as archduke_piccolo noted. However, what happened here was not a planned Q sac. Instead, I blundered it away. And, it was against one of my students who I recently coached. What happened was that I started with an advantage after winning material and exploiting weaknesses. But, I overlooked that one capture leaves my Q hanging. By doing so, I blundered it away early, no in the end. However, I was not going to make it easy for him win, as he'd no longer take me seriously. So, instead I played my best, remembered, and applied things I saw in GM games, as well as, what wrecking_ball told me with his Q sacs. A lot of people wouldn't find it helpful, but I learned a lot, and applied it right in this game. By doing so, I was able to pull a swindle and turn a loss into a win. It's the first time in history, where I was able to do this, despite losing my Q early. That game is shown in the annotation below. gameknot.com

Why? Life is about overcoming obstacles. I've done the impossible before, like winning way down in material. @knightrider62: The idea is something that was mentioned in this club forum, recently. And, it's don't have the defeatistic attitude, unless necessary. But, instead, you think about how you can turn it around. Plus, talk about which, one time I had a master draw, and on a few occasions, a win against a Class A Player. You just have to think and concentrate, that's what it takes to do the impossible.

Here is another. Mary is someone that Jack Stockel and I have both coached. The interesting story is that I coached her three times, so I've worked with her more then anyonelse. But, Jack who is by definition of the club a runner, due to being a former expert, has worked with her much, and I am not surprised because of how good he is. Well, on one occasion she defeated Jack when he was distracted. But, no matter what led to it, she beat a runner, and that's what counts.

Remember how I mentioned about Mary against Jack. Well, last Friday, as noted in the WTW Discussion, Jack played against Perry. And, Perry won the first game against the runner due to an error from the coach.

For the first time in a while, I defeated the runner, Jack Stockel. Of course, he was teaching me chess by allowing me the win, believe it or not. As I said that at one point, I was ready to resign. But, he was there to show me why you shouldn't til the end. I guess you can say that he was implying that one should follow the WTW rules in case one makes mistakes in the end. And, he showed me how I can do that. In the process, despite it being a lost game for me, I won. I intend to annotate the game, and I was white, so it went something like. 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3, d6 3.d4, cxd4 4.Nxd4 e5 5.Nf3 Nf6 6.Bg5 Be7 7.Nc3 Nc6 8.Bb5 0-0 9.0-0 Bg4 10.Qd3 Bxf3 11.Qxf3 Qb6 12.Qd3 a6 13.Bc4 Na5 14.Na4 Qc7 15.b3 Rfe8 16.Be3 Nxc4 17.Qxc4 Qxc4 18.bxc4 Nxe4 19.Nb6 Rab8 20.Nd5 Rc8 21.Nb6 Rc6 22.Rad1 Nc5 23.Nd5 Bf8 24.Nb4 Rcc8 25.Rd5 Ne4 26.Ra5 Rxc4 27.Rb1 Nc3 28.Rb3 Nd1 29.Bb6 Re4 30.Nd3 Rc8 31.f3 Re2 32.Kf1 Rexc2 33.Ke1 Rxg2 34.Kxd1 Rxh2 35.Rb2 Rh1+ 36.Ne1 h5 37.Ke2 Rh2+ 38.Bf2 Rc7 39.Nd3 Be7 40.Nb4 Bh4 41.Nd3 Bxf2 42.Nxf2 h4 43.Rd5 Rd7 44.Ke3 Kf8 45.Rb6 Ke7 46.Ng4 Rc2 47.a4 Rdc7 48.f4 R2c3+ 49.Ke4 R7c4+ 50.Kf5 h3 51.fxe5 a5 52.exd6+ Kd7 53.Rxb7+ Kc6 54.d7 Rf3+

That's not even as accurate here. It took me several hours to figure this one out. That was frustrating, and believe it or not, this was the most frustrated that I have become since March which was during a unpeaceful club war that I could not stay neutral. I believe that this was the time where members lost. But, I turned this time into patience, and the reason I became frustrated is the position became corrupt. And, it took me hours to sort everything out. But, the good thing is that it happened today. So, except for the last move, I believe it was, this is how my win against Jack Stockel was played. And, it is more or less to what actually happened. It went like this. 1.

Chekmate in Under 3 Full Moves
I hope what I'm talking about it appropriate here:

I just finished a game by checkmate, and it wasn't even in three full moves by both sides, which thus Gameknot considered it 'Short', and the rating was unchanged. game

I had no idea this was possible, but I see that it can be done. Has anyone else done this?
