i would like to keep to our plan and play 11...g5 to break the pin. nb6is my second choice

I agree! stick with the plan 11....g5

11...g5
I concur.

I normally feel a little uncomfortable loosening things around the king too much but the pin on the knight is too annoying and needs to be broken.

Current position (just so that it's on this page)

I'll also support 11.g5 We need to go with our plan.

my suggestion now is 12... Nh5, chase the DSB!

I don't completely agree that ...Nh5 chases away the B since after ...NXB, black has ...PXB. But, I agree otherwise, and if you look at how bad white's position would be after that, it's safe to say that white wouldn't do it and would, thus, be chased since that would mess up his K side pawn structure. With that, my vote is also 12...Nh5 for the same reason, as at the very least, white will have a, somewhat, uncomfortable position.

I'll go with 12.Nh5 to the rim with attack of DSB,
and go with Dave's suggested vote.. Joe agrees to disagree and has analyzed the position and after going into it, I see what he believes to be best, and now we have 3 votes for 12.Nh5.

we are committed to Nh5 locking up the bishop at least temporarily. i think martin will reply with either Re1 or Nc4. lets wait and see and then think deeply,i think we are at a crucial stage where the game can be won or lost.

12...Nh5 is good for me too
I wonder if he might follow up with dxe5 but let's wait and see.

12...Nxg3
We may as well take the bishop now. Though I guess it's not going anywhere if anyone has a better suggestion?

as I see it there are 2 moves now Nxg3 and e5xd4, I feel we should play 12...e5xd4 before taking the DSB and see what he plays.

e5x d4 looks like the move to me. i think martin will answer Nxp, though pxp is a possibility

12...e5xd4 seems best as discussed

NxB seems the obvious move, disrupting the white king side, doubling the pawn, getting the nite off the rim, and attaining the two bishops. any negatives?

carry on with the plan, 14....Nxg3

15...Ne5
I like 15...Ne5 here too. Threatens the bishop, stops the e4 pawn advancing to open the white diagonal for bishop/queen and also frees our bishop.

11-Nov-19, 04:42

15....Ne3 stops the pawn advancing to clear his white diagonal!

11-Nov-19, 09:42

May I suggest 15...Nf6. I have to let you all know that it is a razor sharp line that is full of dubious lines. However, I thing it is black's best for a win.
redfoxrising
11-Nov-19, 18:58

We need to combine our minds for move 15.
I was going with Ne5 but with elyhim's suggestion of 15. Nf6 I will make that my vote.
It looks like we have 2 votes for Ne5 and 2 for Nf6. I'm thinking dave was also going with Ne5?

Is anyone else had a chance to consider Nf6?
This seems critical that we make the best move here. I've spent some good amount of time looking at possible lines.
