22. ...Qxe4
When I saw this move my gut was saying that it was inaccurate. From my point of view, the pawn was helping us; it was blocking the white bishop from getting to a good square. Kasparov once said, "sometimes threat itself is enough."

Ah Terence & Co!
Hi Terence,

Now that we are a pawn up however, do you feel we should initiate a trade of rooks on the basis of being ahead in material it may be good to swap off pieces so that the extra pawn will be decisive in the endgame?

I would value your thoughts in this matter.

With kind regards,

Jo

Be5 sounds good to me
and interesting point about that pawn elyhim. His bishop has definitely come to life since we captured.

27. ...... b6 has been played!
Yup, Sorry about that earlier move - my brain had got a bit scrambled!

The only merit it has is that at least a set of pieces were exchanged which could be advantageous as we are a pawn up which I stated in an earlier note.

I have made sure that we stay a pawn up by playing b6 preventing Bxb7.

Here is the board:-

Depending on how Martin moves, I feel that Kf8 to prepare a double rook trade by getting out of the pin may be next on the agenda but I will leave you to contemplate better ideas.

With kind regards,

Joanne

Offer a draw!
that is your best outcome now!
Keep exchanging pieces and that is the usual result!
