Mozart vs Clementi
Somethings attributed to the great Masters were not written by them. But by others. In 1781 on Christmas eve, in Austria,in the Court of Joesph 2nd, two great pianists met and had a playoff. You be the judge of who really won. Mozart was a real snob!!

Snob?
Yes, perhaps Mozart was a snob, too, but he appears to have suffered from Tourette's syndrome, which is characterised (among other things) by tics, giggling, and an urge to "talk dirty". I think these features were capured very well in the film "Amadeus". By the way, many other geniuses have also suffered from Tourette's syndrome.

He was clearly also quite "direct" in expressing his opinions, not much diplomacy there! I think this is probably also linked to Tourette. I am referring to what he wrote about Clementi as a pianist and musician, as read out in "Part II" above, and what brigadecommander probably meant by "snobbism".
