![]() To all those who celebrate this national holiday, primarily in the counties of the USA,Canada,Liberia,Puerto Rico and Norfolk Island.Thanksgiving as most of you know,is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. But being that GK is a site with worldwide members, there may be many who are not familiar with this holiday. Well, time for my Grand Champion turkey(Mainly breast meat and smaller legs),potato and bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, yams(with marshmallow),asparagus tips, baby peas with pearl onions, sweet corn, apple pie with caramel, fresh pumpkin pie made with a homemade lard crust and a bit of cranberry wine from a local winery in NJ.Espresso,a bit later! Simply...yum! To those guys/gals who never celebrate Thanksgiving in their country...you don't know what your missing! TA |
