Nice! I'm glad that you enjoyed your vacation, Joe. Yes, I know how it feels, and if it helps, it's hot and humid around here. In fact, I'm in a heatwave right now with 90+ weather and high humidity is discusting. There's no way out of it.

BTW, it's not now, but in a little less then a month, I'll be going away for, about a week. During that time, I'll be leaving the co-captain in charge of team matches.

In fact, it will be this Sunday and will be gone for about a week. One thing I don't do in the club forums is give dates, but I'll tell you the day which is starting on Sunday. From there, I won't be back on until that Sunday morning, at the earliest. And, it might not even happen until Monday, due to my work schedule.

Games
I issued a challenge to the Rookettes which went ignored for a long time. Then I sent messages to the captain of that team. Finally I noticed that he has not logged on in two years.
It would be nice if GK flagged teams as not available for challenge if captain and co-captains have not logged in over the past week or three days.
I search for players for my team members, and to have to check that someone is actually heeding the challenge is just one more needless step.

Vacation
I'm going to Cambodia. I ain't saying when. Maybe not for a long time yet. In some of the area I reckon internet connections may be rare.
I've decided against going to North Korea, for the time being. Though I'm told the skies there are pretty decent for star gazing. I wish we had a lot more dark sky around here like that.

This is the week where I set the vacation. For most of the time, I'll be offline. Only one day, unless things change, but tentatively, I only intend to come on for one day or two days but for a short while. We're talking about an hour, at most, and it's mainly due to American Idol coming to a sad end, but there are a few other factors as well. Yes, this is the bulk of the busy times, and now, I am, just for this week, becoming, as inactive as, last year.

Just got back from vacationing in the foothills of Ozarks, tried snagging Spoonbill for a change of pace, had ZERO luck from the fishing Gods.
And no one else has this many "Indian Museums"...nor Native Land with a Interstate access and Casino at the exits.

July 11-17
Well, my turn for a vacation. My 9 year old nephew will be visiting me all this week. Yeah he's a handful, and by how much my rating has dropped as well as the number of active matches on Triton, I could use a breather I guess, BUT I'll still be on everyday. If you send me a match during this time though, you may have to wait until the end of the day (PST). I'll be back full force by July 18, catching up on things, sending matches, and enjoying my time on Gameknot

I'm going away this Friday. Will be away until Sunday. But, do to the busier then average work week, my games are going to be postponed until the middle of the week. During that time, I do not intend to be online. I will, however, be back on by September 1.

Team captain of Getica International giulietta will be on vacation from August 28 - September 5 (expedition to the Orastie Mountains - Romania, in order to see the Sarmisegetuza Regia Fortress and the sanctuaries of the Geto-Dacians).
During this time, she will not be on Gameknot and team challenges may not be responded to until his return.

Comeback Time
I feel like I've been on vacation for the past 4 months. I've been busier than what I like, but still around. With the team being #1 again though (Triton), I feel a little more encouraged to catch up on things in the team, like the monthly team stats and the team matches. I want to start coming back into the clubs too though, I haven't posted in a long time, until now lol. Hopefully this is the end of my "mental" vacation and the start of me being around more

period of time.
It seems many are on "vacation" from posting in the club. Must be that time of year.

I'll be, well, around the next few days. How much? I don't know, we'll see how well I do after I get 5 teeth pulled out tomorrow
I'll do my best to keep up with the matches. After I recover from this, I plan to get the team matches up again for Triton. Expect more matches from me in the near future

lol thanks everyone. It went well today. The Vitakin and IBprofin (I don't think I spelled either of those right lol) help a lot. Hopefully I'll be feeling a lot better by Wednesday, and hopefully I don't get dry socket

Well it wasn't by Wednesday, but I'm finally feeling better. The wisdom teeth I had pulled out went pretty well, although I am still hurting from them some, but that fifth tooth, the canine they pulled because it was horizontal instead of vertical like a normal tooth, well that's caused my face to swell up plenty, as well as give me a black eye for some reason. Weird lol
Anyways, you all should hopefully see me on more, well excluding the time when I'll be on vacation in a few weeks

Well since this forum is still here, I was on vacation for 5 days, but I'm back 100% now. I see though my vacation took place while my team had perhaps it's best run on the ladder, at least in a long time. Sorry if anyone wasn't able to send challenges. Probably not that many on the ladder would take notice on this forum, but I should have said something beforehand, so sorry about that.

That's fine. You're similar to me. And, in a few months, I very well, might resticky this thread. What happens in late August with a once a year fair is when I go away, but just for the weekend. However, October will be a typical. In the middle of it, I'll be going away for a week and a half to another continent.
