Until the Development of Vaccines Some day we will engineer better humans, ones less susceptible to infection. We have mice with human genes, and we are engineering pigs which can be grown with compatible replacement organs. Pig organs now are problematic because they host a lot of viruses. Virus free transgendered pigs will give us access to safe, rejection free transplant organs. Covid came from the wild. No one engineered bubonic plague, Ebola, malaria, sleeping sickness, smallpox, polio, or numerous other scourges. No one engineered this one either. But we are getting better at influencing nature, sometimes even in positive ways. |

If in a week there aren't millions of COVID deaths, these "protests" will have unequivocally proven that the lockdowns were completely pointless. They basically are doing an experiment that will prove if the lockdowns had any real effect. |

Lockdowns Most of the protestors I saw were wearing masks, and were outdoors. Granted, pools and football games were big sources of infection early on--but they weren't wearing masks. Most of the protestors were also young, among whom the death rates are very, very small. It isn't until they go home and infect their parents or elderly neighbors that the death rate will climb. Infection and death are also two radically different things. The case fatality rate has been about 6% for Covid-19. For the common flu, in comparison, it is about 0.02%. 6/0.02 = 300, meaning that Covid is about 300 times deadlier than the regular flu. Know anyone who has died from the flu? They have published a LOT of names of those who have perished from Covid-19. It has killed over 110,000 Americans, and yes--everyone anticipates the infections will soar. As much from states reopening without meeting the president's own guidelines as from anything else. If the infections double in the next few weeks (from 2 million to 4 million), we would expect another 6% of 2 million to perish, or in the neighborhood of 120,000. Seems like an achievable goal. Guess we'll see. |

"I had a bunker?" --Obama This lie is just from today: In remarks about SARS-CoV-2, President Trump wrongly said China “stopped it cold” from spreading from Wuhan to other parts of China “but they didn’t stop it cold from coming to the United States … and the rest of the world.” June 9, 2020 How full of it can one obese orangutan be? No one ever said China "stopped it cold" in Wuhan. A LOT of places in China suffered from Covid-19 infection. “They didn’t use tear gas.” --Groper denying tear gas was deployed against peaceful protestors in Lafayette Park. Then what was that lachrymator agent they sprayed? Mace? Idiot. Groper tweeted nasty, malicious lies about the death of an aid to Joe Scarsborough. On Memorial Day Groper attacked a veteran, Conor Lamb, calling him "Conner Lamm" and lying about his record. President Donald Trump falsely said, on Twitter and at the White House, that the [California mail] ballots would go to “anyone living in the state, no matter who they are or how they got there” and “people that aren’t citizens." What a liar. Not even remotely true. California has the addresses of REGISTERED VOTERS, and that is to whom the ballots will be mailed. When they are returned, the SIGNATURES MUST MATCH. Groper has lied about California ballots before, insisting he would have won the state but for millions of illegal ballots cast against him--a foul and vicious lie intended to undermine US confidence in our election process. On the recent protests, Trump said the mayor of Washington, D.C., “wouldn’t let the D.C. Police get involved” during a turbulent protest outside the White House. The Secret Service said the local police WERE involved. Trump urged Philadelphia officials to call in the National Guard to help stop looting — hours after they had already done so. At least he didn't suggest Philadelphia use aerial tankers to bomb protestors or burning buildings. Funny story--the City of Brotherly Love DID once bomb MOVE, killing unarmed women and children. But that was back before Trump was president. We could keep this up forever--Groper has well over 18,000 lies under his belt. In the eight years Obama was in office he is known to have made false statements 18 times. 18, vs. 18,000. And Groper hasn't served half the time Obama has, yet. |

Like Groper tweeting a 75 year old protestor fell harder than he was pushed, or claiming windmills cause cancer. Mind numbingly thoughtless. Contrast George Floyd's, "I can't breathe" with some privileged white person tugging at his mask whining, "I can't breathe!" |

This morning it was announced on the morning news program that there was a dispute over the officer's paycheck from the club, but George delivered the check to him. He had nothing to do with the amount on the check that was disputed. It seems to me that the officer had a big grudge against George, perhaps because of their work relationship and his color, so the opportunity arose for the officer to make some "pay back". Now the officer is in big trouble. |
