God Says
God created humans without face masks, and therefore there is no reason human beings should ever don a face mask.

Republican Ohio State Representative Nino Vitale.

www.newsweek.com

Democrats say stupid things too--back in 2010 (ten years ago) Hank Johnson (from Georgia) worried about islands tipping over. Of course, he was sick and high on prescription medication when he said that. These other folks act like they've been snorting Adderall all day long. I mean, why is the president always sniffing, and lying, and saying the most moronic things?

I'm pretty sure Nino Vitale was also born without pants.

Breaking News: New study on Chloroquine
Columbia University JUST published the first major peer-reviewed study, with 1400 patients, in the New England Journal of Medicine about using Chloroquine For Covid-19 patients. Result: NOT effective. Recommendation: Do not use. Period!

More details to follow later.

This is the only definitive, double-blind, peer-reviewed, large-scale study on this drug being used for Covid-19 patients.

I don’t know why anyone is still try to post positive things about this drug anymore. Trump is no longer advocating for it. Fox News is no longer advocating it. Heck, Rudy is no longer advocating it (and he claims he first told Trump about this drug; yes, Rudy). But hey, it is a cheap drug, and it in 2005 it was deemed safe for healthy people and folks suffering from Malaria (although it does have some cardiovascular warnings), so everyone should pop it anyway. 🤣

Trump, Covid, & Other Lies & Ignorance
<<This is yet another attempt at a smear campaign on Trump.>>

LOL. Trump doesn't need a smear campaign--stuff a quarter in his mouth and pull his string and he will delight with a pronouncements of pure idiotic drivel. "Aerial bombardment of burning French cathedrals is a great idea!"

"Revolutionary soldiers rammed the ramparts and seized the airports."

"Wheels are older than walls, and both are medeival technology." [Wrong on both counts.]

"Finland rakes its forests."

"California is diverting rivers into the Pacific Ocean."

"We inherited a broken test," Trump said March 30th on Fox News. What a BS claim, for a novel virus appearing in late 2019. No wonder "Obama's test" for a virus that wouldn't be known another three years was "broken."

"We've tested more than every country combined." What an utter load of crap. A thousand bulls dining on laxative laden grain couldn't match Trump's volume of vegetative detritus.

"I was the person who saved Pre-Existing Conditions in your healthcare." What a liar. Last I checked his administration was STILL suing to abolish pre-existing condition coverage.

"California "admitted" there were "a million" illegal votes in the 2016 presidential election." Nope. That is simply a bald faced lie. The liar's own task force could not find any evidence for that.

"The noise [from windmills] causes cancer."

"James Comey Memos just out and show clearly that there was NO COLLUSION and NO OBSTRUCTION." Yet another lie from our Liar-in-Chief.

"I never said Russia did not meddle in the election." Yes, the liar DID claim Russia did not meddle--that for all we knew the meddling was some 400 lb kid in his grandmother's basement. In fact, ""this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story" was Politifact's 2017 LIE of the YEAR.

"The ice caps were going to melt, they were going to be gone by now, but now they’re setting records, so okay, they’re at a record level." Moron!

<<Fauci advised against the China travel ban in January.>>

The travel ban at that time was a bad idea. Our virus didn't come directly from China. Dr. Irwin Redlener, director of the Columbia University National Center for Disaster Preparedness and a public health analyst for NBC News called the travel bans a "mixed bag" in terms of effectiveness. Meanwhile, at this same time (in January) Trump was insisting "it would be 15 people, miraculously disappearing to zero by the beginning of April."

<<Fauci misrepresented the projected outcome of the mortality rate, and just
recently the CDC adjusted their death count to 37K from 60K.>>

Oh did they now? Here is their page which says 70,802 total deaths (as of yesterday).
www.cdc.gov

<<Fauci said with certainty in 2017 that a pandemic would occur in the Trump administration.>>

Meaning what, self fulfilling profacy? Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't this AFTER Trump disbanced the black man's pandemic response team? I would have made the same prediction. For example, if I see you throw away your nitro pills, I'm likely to say, "you're going to have a heart attack." ESPECIALLY if you've had one every four years for the past four decades.

Trump just explained that he didn't like having useless people standing around doing nothing--and that if a pandemic occurred he would put the guy in charge who married his daughter. What higher qualification could anyone possess than that?

Trump & Bigly Lights
People are still defending Trump's bigly lights and lung disinfectant injections, even though Trump himself backed away from that insisting his comments were just a "sarcastic" prank. Not sure how the sarcasm fit in--he might have meant "facetious," but who really knows what Trump means when he uses words?

For a guy people love so much because he speaks plainly, he sure has one hell of an interpretation team leaping to his defense with every imbecilic inanity spilling from his porcine lips.

Another Study...
Good news! Blood thinner have proven to be effective with Covid-19 patients, especially those on a ventilator. This was an analysis of 2,733 patients that was just published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology. 63% of the patients on ventilators who did NOT get blood thinners died. However, just 29% of the patients on ventilators who received blood thinners died.

This is not used to prevent Covid-19, but is greatly helpful for those with severe cases of Covid-19 on ventilators.

Guy Reschenthaler
<<Rep. Guy Reschenthaler is on audio saying Pelosi is blocking the investigation into the COV origins and instead wants to focus on the President's supposed misdeeds.>>

It simply isn't true. Nancy wants a congressional investigation into Covid-19. We had 33 of them over Benghazi, politically driven to smear Hillary. We had ONE (1) into 9/11. We just need to find out more about what happened here, to better prepare for next time, and hope and pray we don't elect a leader who dismantles those preparations in order to give the most qualified man on Earth, his son-in-law, something to do beyond solving the opioid epidemic, bringing peace to the middle east, building a pointless vanity wall across 2000 miles of desolate desert, maintaining relations with Mexico and China, reforming veteran health care and the criminal justice system, and to reinvent government so that it operates more like a commercial business enterprise.

No Wall
<<"building a pointless vanity wall across 2000 miles of desolate desert,"

Would you prefer no wall and caravans of people flooding into our
country with COV-19?>>

We have no wall now. Of the 93 miles of new construction (as of last report), 90 miles was actually replacing existing barrier with fencing. So there has been 3 additional miles of NEW fence erected along the border. NOT impressed.

Really, Trump's most effective strategy was busting up nasty immigrant families and caging their children. That is what put the biggest crimp in illegal immigration--up until the market collapse and pandemic. Immigrants also shy away from being detained in prison camps where they are exposed to ravaging disease without treatment. Funny, that.

As has been pointed out so many times ad nauseum, MOST "illegal immigrants" came through legal checkpoints (or flew into the country) and simply overstayed their visas. A border wall deep in the desert would have done nothing to discourage any of them, or the others smuggled across regular checkpoints.

Back in reality, have we EVER seen columns cross in the deep desert? Columns generally follow roads, and apply for asylum.

Touring America
Steve Mnuchin started talking about what a great time for touring America. Axl Rose (of Guns & Roses) begged to differ, tweeting:

"My bad I didn’t get we’re hoping 2 emulate Liberia’s economic model but on the real unlike this admin I’m not responsible for 70k+ deaths n’ unlike u I don’t hold a fed gov position of responsibility 2 the American people n’ go on TV tellin them 2 travel the US during a pandemic,"

The Liberia comment concerned the fact patriotic Mnuchin apparently mistook Liberia's flag for our own stars and stripes.

He even plead GUILTY, twice....
Yep, plead guilty, in court, two different times.

What is corrupt is the current Justice system under Trump and Barr. The term "justice" should be stricken for the name of that Department. I mean, the guy served as a paid intelligence agent for Turkey and tried hiding that and omitted that information in federal documents and disclosures (somehow he forgot to mention that half million dollars he was paid), and the he lied to FBI on multiple occasions. And he was freakin' guilty. Admitted he was guilty. Plead guilty IN COURT two different times.

And what does Trump and his personal attorney, William Barr do, drop the charges in a case where the criminal already admitted he was guilty.

Lord_shiva is absolutely right about that silly wall. It is almost all replacement fencing. Tiny amount of new construction. Heck, they still haven't even been able to obtain the land to build much of it. I assume everyone has seen the videos of people readily getting through and over the new wall segments. What a joke! But, Jared is now in charge, so I assume it will be "a great success story" which is what Jared said about the fairly inept Covid-19 response at the federal level, as thousands of American continue to die every day.

Now we are really off topic, guys.

I saw an astrological reading for today's full moon.
They said the Sun is in Taurus, who likes things the way
they are in a comfy home. Meanwhile Pluto is showing
major influence and just went retrograde, meaning
the way things have been isn't going to happen - Time for Change.

This is a conflict of influences which is probably even
more pronounced now during this lockdown time of reflection.

A story was just suggested to me, called the

No Matter How Stupid, What Trump Says Has an Impact
Now matter how stupid his comments are, what Trump says has an impact on the sheep that blindly follow him.

Article in Today’s Washington Post—Shows that Trump’s remarks re ingesting disinfectants resulted in an large increase in people ingesting disinfectants and bleach! (I think Lysol is working on a diet version for Donald!)

Accidental poisonings rose after Trump suggested injecting disinfectant could thwart coronavirus

Accidental poisonings in the country from disinfectants and bleach increased in April, the month when President Trump mused that people might be able to fight the novel coronavirus by injecting themselves with disinfectant, new data show.

The American Association of Poison Control Centers reported a 121 percent increase in poisonings from disinfectants and a 77 percent spike in bleach poisonings in April, compared with the same month last year. The April 2020 data included the seven days that followed Trump’s false and dangerous comment about disinfectant, which he made April 23.

The percentage increase in poisonings in the first 10 days of May was lower. Reports of accidental poisonings from disinfectants increased 69 percent and reports of poisonings from bleach increased 51 percent over the same period in 2019.

The AAPCC did not draw conclusions about what may have caused the significant increase in poisonings in April. Time magazine conducted the first analysis of the statistics as they relate to Trump.

Those weren't poisonings, they were simple coronavirus deaths just like all the others.

In truth, I don't have much sadness for people who are stupid enough to believe the media when they say Trump told them to drink bleach or whatever the lie is.
urbanascott
12-May-20, 18:33

Uh, yeah they were poisonings: "...a 121 percent increase in poisonings from disinfectants and a 77 percent spike in bleach poisonings in April, compared with the same month last year."

This article does not say they died or that that had the coronavirus.

Also, people were NOT believing "the media" about drinking bleach, they were believing Trump. A real leader would know not suggest remedies like bleach to the general public because some idiots will do what the president suggests. So do not blame the media here--Trump said it and the media simply (and fairly) showed what Trump said. In fact, the media went to great effort afterwards to advise everyone NOT to ingest disinfectants, but unfortunately some sad saps that follow Trump did so anyway, just like a cult follows the cult leader.

Personally, I think the media should never air anything live that Trump says since he does not have the ability to edit himself when talking. Instead, they should edit out all of the lies, all of the stupidity, and anything campaign related, and just report anything that is newsworthy. However, I am afraid that would leave nothing for them to report!
