Yet, the actual fact is that Director Comey made a decision based on all data he had. According to US Law the distinction between "crime" and "no crime" is hair thin in cases such as this when there is no "intent", and a matter of wording. Comey chose "no crime". I am not taking a personal stand about whether he was right or wrong - it was his objective decision. I tend to favour it, however (from the little I know), not least because apparently a few others high up in the US government had also in the past overlooked e-mail security in much the same way. It was a human mistake - stupid, may be, but not one sufficient to incarcerate the person.

Trump Jr. merely arranged for a meeting with Russian Intelligence to learn how the Kremlin might be able to disrupt our democratic election process to favor Trump. Or: Do you prefer to argue that meeting was about adopting Russian children?

We started with a certain theme, which you explained after my query, but then - without responding to my replies - you switched to yet another conspiration topic - about "the Donald Jr meeting". This is extremely confusing, not only to me but to the majority of Fiat Lux Members. Which is why I would like to deal with/discuss one issue at a time!

Would you like me to start with the exoneration of Hillary or the framing of Trump?

This "conspiracy thread" is of course yours, but as the Club founder I want it to follow concise rules. We were discussing the "Comey problem", so I want us to continue on that issue alone! Until it is resolved. Or, start a new thread on "some Donald J Trump Jr meeting".
