13. ...Qd7
I support that proposal
If 14.Bh3---Nd8
I will vote as seen below.

Can we please have the voted from feisty-feline and 5imon? NOW!
13...Qd7 sounds good
Sorry, I missed that they had moved.

We cannot wait for feisty-feline any longer. We move 13. ...Qd7 new position
I vote 14.....Nd8 to protect e6 pawn.
This is the latest move 14.Bh3 from Obama team. Our e6 pawn is attacked twice by White's N and B that you can see it in the diagram.

14. ....Nd8
Thanks for noting the Obama move. Yes, I agree that Nd8 is Trump's best move We still want the votes from feisty-feline and from 5imon
Is it risky to move 14....Nd4? instead of ....Nd8

14. ...Nd4?! is interesting, but I think it is nullified by 15. Nb5. After exchanges our e6 pawn is in serious trouble. I think 14. ...Nd8 is really the only reasonable move. We need the votes from feisty-feline and 5imon!
14...Nd8
Looks good to me

I am going to make the 14. ...Nd8 move since feisty-feline seems to have lost interest in the game and we have 3 votes out of four for it. new position
I will vote 15.....h6
unless there is a surprise unanticipated White's move to drive the N away.
stalhandske 23-Jan-18, 08:08
Obama moved 15. Re1
new position our move ace 15. ...h6 5imon feisty-feline
stalhandske 23-Jan-18, 08:19
I would prefer the more aggressive 15. ...Rb4
I vote 15....Rb4
I concur with stal and change my mind from previous 15....h6 move but I still believe we have to play h6 move later to drive the intrusive white N. I am like majority of the American voters who can switch sides between the two parties according to the saying. " Does it matter whether the cat is black or white if it catches the mice."

VOTES PLEASE
We need the votes from feisty-feline and from 5imon! Situation ace 15. ...Rb4 5imon feisty-feline stal 15. ...Rb4
15...Rb4 looks good to me.
We will need start untangling our pieces soon with h6 and getting the knight off the front rank.
stalhandske 25-Jan-18, 05:07
We have three votes for 15. ...Rb4, I would have liked feisty-feline's opinion, but it seems that she has lost interest in us I will make the move.
I vote 16...h6 to drive the N away.
Obama plays 16.e3 I believe White has slight advantage with one pawn extra. Can stal offer them a draw. Anyway, if they believe that they are at the upper hand, they will reject the draw offer.

stalhandske 26-Jan-18, 19:56
16. ...h6
I concur with h6, and with ace's estimate. However, I think our position is better so that we have compensated for the pawn. BTW the way I have learner chess it is not "appropriate" to offer a draw if one is down in material. And can you imagine President Trump offering a draw? We still need the votes from feisty-feline and from 5imon!
White's Ng5 will retreat to the only place he can go 17.Nf3--Bd6. Our B will prevent the N from jumping to Ne5.

I agree that white will play 17. Nf3. But I think 17. ...Bd6 is a little premature. We can play it after white puts the knight at Ne5. Instead, I will suggest remobilisation of our queen for attack on the kingside, by 17 ...Qe8
16...h6
Let's get rid of that knight.

Trump plays 16. ...h6
Sorry, but we cannot wait for feisty, who does seem to have lost interest. New position Obama's move
stalhandske 27-Jan-18, 20:16
Obama played 17. Nf3
as expected new position
How about 17...Nc6 - now that the immediate threat to e6 has passed, we could get the knight back in the game and defend the e5 square? Then Bd6 and Qf7 to straighten out our pieces? Or are you thinking that knight needs to stay on defensive duty until we sort the pieces out? I would probably pick Bd6 over Qe8 as it both defends e5 and allows the queen to slide over to the kingside.
stalhandske 28-Jan-18, 02:07
One main reason for Qe8 is to move away the queen from the d-file, where it becomes undefended immediately when the Nf6 knight becomes engaged, and from the diagonal controlled by Bh3! For example 17. ......Nc6 18. e4! d4 19. Nd5! Nxd5 20. exd5 Nd8 The other reason is to have the potential to quickly move over our queen for kingside attack. For example 17. .... Qe8 18. b3 Qh5!
ok
I'm happy to go with 17...Qe8.
I vote 17....Bd6
I think it is the best move because White can play 17.Ne5 if the Bd6 is not there. After the W's N jump to e5 it is difficult to dislodge and will take several moves to counter attack. Check the following diagram.

if 17. ....Bd6 18. b3 and white has solidified their position 17. ...Qe8 has the advantages explained above, and if 18. Ne5 (which is indeed likely), then we'd play Bd6!
